my bunny of 8 years just recently passed away, it's super hard because they can't tell you when they don't feel good. My bunnies were bonded and when one passed away, she was very sad and depressed and didn't eat and wanted to leave this earth. Took a couple days, but she was happy. Now they are in heaven together. I lost my dog, Peanut, of 14 years last year at the beginning of the pandemic.. It was also very sudden and shocking and our family expected her to live for at least another 2-3 years because she was so healthy and happy. My condolences, weylie. I lost my dog last year during lockdown. It was a dark time...But he was loved and knew it. He was silly and brought a smile to our faces. HIs passing left a hole in our hearts but we know he's in a better place now. We raised him from a puppy so it was heart wrenching. He was eight too.

May Miso rest in peace, always in our hearts and minds. This touched me especially because the one-year passing anniversary of my pup, Bo, is coming up. We had gotten him as a teeny puppy and he somehow developed distemper and eventually passed away from it two months after we got him. It was so hard on us to accept that his little life ended so much sooner than it should have. Within those two months, I had gained such a loving relationship with Bo. I miss you so much Bo and always thinking about you and your craziness as a little pup hehe

Thank you Weylie for sharing your loss... I unexpected lost my 8 year old Yorkie. His name was Thumper. I raised him since he was 4 months old. It also happened so suddenly that I had no time to process what happened. When we took him to the doctor...we didn't know that was the last time we'd see him...I had left for work earlier that day and my husband had to be the one to endure it all. And I came home to his empty bed. It's been 7 months and I still cry. Thank you again for sharing...I'm sure we'll see them again.

Its never easy losing a pet. My precious bunny passed away November of last year and I still miss him to this day. :( I look at his pictures and always write to him because in a way he was my emotional support. Always there when I want a little perk of serotonin, but now he's gone and I honestly have no one for emotional support. I do have friends but without my bunny, I just feel like its not enough... :( My bun was there for me since the beginning when I was practically alone. It sucks that he's not here when I need him. Just talking about my bun makes me cry as well...

I lost my bun when I was in the 4th grade and that memory still forever lives in me and I am 26 now! Haha. Grieving the loss of a pet is never easy but it feels good to know they crossed the rainbow bridge and we provided them with a loving home for the time they had on earth. 🤍

You have NO idea how much I relate to your loss, Weylie! I lost my sweetest boy of 8 years very suddenly too, a cat named Ryoma. I'm talking he literally came to me one morning and just dropped down and took his last breath out of nowhere. He was playing the night before and ate breakfast that morning like he usually does, groomed his sister, etc. It was a normal morning and everything prior. When I talked to his doctor, who absolutely adores him (SHE actually called ME when she found out from the emergency vet), she said it's likely he had an underlying heart condition and essentially had a "heart attack" (she mentioned it could be a brain condition, but he'd have more symptoms of that). He went to the vet regularly, just a few months before this too, and all of his exams, blood work and xrays were always practically perfect (he was just a little chunky). Every time he got sick (had a diarrhea a few times and conjunctivitis once), he always bounced back so strong. So I totally get what you mean when you said you thought Miso would live longer; I thought my boy was invincible the way he conquered it every single time. We'll never know for sure because I opted for no autopsy, but I'm just glad he chose me, up until his last moments, because I'm sure he felt something was wrong and came into my room. It was the most devastating loss I've ever felt, but in a way I'm grateful that it was very quick for him and hopefully not very painful and that he came to me and I got to be with him and he didn't just stay in the living room where I would've just found him like that. He was the friendliest and cuddliest cat who would greet and purr with strangers and literally lit up the room the way my parents, grandpa, or any visitors would instantly smile and call for him whenever they caught even the slightest glimpse of him coming into the room or passing by the door. We adopted a very skittich cat named Snow after Ryoma's sister had passed and Ryoma really helped her adjust as well. I'm talking Snow would hide under the bed and we'd have to feed her there, it was months before we could even pet her, etc. Ryoma really taught her everything and now she's so cuddly and loving (just doesn't like to be carried and still a little nervous around strangers or loud noises), but he just taught her so much. I understand your pain, your thoughts, and your loss and send so much love! I always just imagine him playing with sister (who passed a few years ago) and all his old cat friends who have gone to rainbow bridge in the past. Sometimes I still cry, even if it's a happy thought like that. I know this isn't your first rodeo either so I feel like this ESSAY of a comment was more for me to vent if I really think about it tbh, but just know that I adore you, my whole family actually adores you and Wah! Your loss is ours. Our love is yours. ❤️

I totally share your sentiments about Miso's passing. I lost my first pet earlier this year, my little doggie. Compared to my other dogs she definitely had the most vibrant and strong personality of the three. I also worried for my other dogs to be alive without her because the other two aren't as independent. Her sudden and unexpected passing left the house much quieter. Slowly but surely over time, I've gotten to see my other dog's personalities bloom and get to know them better.

I really want to comment this here, it is always hard when this kind of sad events happens, I gave a home to lots os stray cats, gave them food and a safe place to stay, They where free to come and go, sadly life happens sometimes and takes away our little companion😭😢, I have loved and still love all of them, I do everything that I can to keep them safe and happy, but I can’t stop life to happen, with time I understood that is how they lived that matters, if they were happy and had the best life they could ever had, I commit myself to this, and whatever their lifespan, I make sure it's the best it can be. I'm sure Miso has lived a wonderful life full of love. I still cry after years of losing a beloved companion, but I'm so grateful to have had the possibility to carish him.😢❤️ Stay strong❤️❤️🧡

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I found comfort in your video because I recently lost our beloved feline family member, Lilly. We suddenly lost her a week ago and every day has been a struggle to slowly accept the reality of the situation. We had her for one and a half years and we thought we would have her for 10 -12 more years. I held a small memorial for her this past Sunday to help bring me some comfort and give honor to her life. I've always been close to my pets, but this one really hit hard because she was my sanctuary away from my health problems and this pandemic. I completely agree with your feelings about coping and grieving, I've let myself cry and try to process why our baby left so soon. Thank you for sharing because I really needed this. Hi, Weylie! My family and I had to unfortunately put down our family dog (Her name is Yoshita!) almost last year back in April of 2020 since she was in such excruciating pain that it'd hurt us seeing her that way, so we wanted her to rest peacefully at the age of 12 years. Thank you for saying that it's okay to think about our pets bc those memories of them are what keeps them alive, and truthfully, there were times where she'd pop up in my mind, but I didn't want to cry and relive the the put-down procedure. There were also moments where I felt like I failed to take care of her well enough to have her live a bit longer, but my loved ones reminded me that I did the best I could to have her live a blissful life. Miso is still so loved by so many, and I know he's grateful to have had incredible owners like you and Wah who have kind hearts and loving souls
