Can I say I love the calmness of your vlogs. Not much music going on, just super natural and aesthetic. And thanks for showing yourself so vulnerable - that's brave and simply wonderful.

You know it's funny.. as someone who also does instagram I have come across your account many times and thought "what a beautiful house, nice partner, nice clothes etc" and get into a comparison cycle. Then I get comments saying the same thing to me like "wish I had your clothes" or "wish I was you" which makes me feel sad because I realise we are never fully content with what we have and the cycle is totally real. You're feeling the comparison while i'm looking at you feeling the same and so on. It's almost nice to know we all do it, but also that we all have something we should be grateful for. Thanks Brittany, hope you're doing well x

I can relate so much to this! As a student reaching the end of the semester, I have found it EXTREMELY difficult to truly focus and find a work flow to finish all my work. I am avoiding to write a paper now because I just don't want to do it or don't find the motivation to do so. I just hope that there are better time ahead X.

Thank you so much for such an honest and pure vlog, it's so amazing how by sharing truthfully low emotions and moments you're able to brighten up and give comfort to some of us. :) I have also been feeling low, unmotivated to complete anything these days, and unable to figure out exactly why... But it's a new week and I hope for the best. Hope you also have a brighter week. Thank you, really enjoy your vlogs xx

Every week I look forward to your videos ever since you started your channel. I just wanted to thank you for sharing a little bit of you and please know that you’re not alone in this! I’m a sophomore fashion student in the US and this time has been really traumatizing in a lot of ways but at the same time I feel thankful for health and for being able to be home (I live in the dorms). So thank you so much 🤍🕊 hope to see many of your vlogs in the future!

This was a lovely surprise for my Monday morning. I feel like so much of what you shared is spot on to how I’ve been feeling, esp the stuff about getting too in your head and comparing yourself to others. That’s why I find these moments of honest reflection so heartening, I think feeling less alone in our experiences helps us to cope with them better. Hope you feel better this week (but it’s okay if you don’t too) x

hi Brittany I discovered your channel about 3 weeks ago and first watched your last uploaded vlogs. since I really liked the style of your vlogs, the content and you as a person I now started the vlogs from the beginning (started with "turning 30") and it's just giving me such calmness and also inspiration. just everything you own or do seems to tickle something in me. also, you are so well articulated and I am a sucker for all the nicely put words :D love all your vlogs, keep making them

Thanks for sharing a super honest, ‘as is’ type of vlog. Having felt real slumps in motivation to actually do things I’ve set out for myself each week and day, I’ve been wondering if it’s just me...but it feels like a lot of us are feeling this way and it’s completely normal as we navigate through this weird bit of time! As someone suffering with MDD and lots of anxiety disorders, I also struggle with the pressure this situation is putting on our shoulders. I am a MA student and have lots and lots to do, but I find myself disappointed at the end of every week because I didn't do 1/10th of what I was supposed to do/decided to accomplish, and always come to the sad conclusion it's already been SO MANY WEEKS of me being unproductive and not being able to accomplish anything good (time has been flying really oddly for the last couple months if I might say...). Seeing this vlog, and reading through the comment section, has been really comforting for me, because I realized that it's just not me being 'not as productive as I want/need myself to be', but that it is more like a general state of mind considering the reality we're all living at the moment. So I felt quite relieved after seeing what a typical week for someone as important and influent as you on social medias looks like right now, and I will try from now on not to beat myself up so much when I don't feel like it, when I feel like it's a 'day without it' (un 'jour sans' as we say in French). Thank you very much for that, it helped me put a lot of things into perspective. PS : I sincerely LOVE your vlogs (as much as I love your aesthetics on instagram i.e.), you are so honest and true to yourself, and it's such a breath of fresh air to see someone like you out there, because your simplicity and your sincerity actually help me NOT comparing myself so much with other people on the internet. Thanks a lot for everything.
@BrittanyBathgate14 жыл бұрын
I really felt this comment! Everything you've said here I completely relate to. I also have a habit of looking back on time and getting overwhelmed by how much time has passed and how little I've done with that time, which then, in turn, makes me feel even worse. It's a tough cycle to break! I'm so glad to hear you have found some comfort in the comments, I was sat reading through some of them the other day after having quite a low one and had a little cry, not a bad cry, but a good cry I guess?! Because I felt so touched by all of these responses and how many of us are having the EXACT same feelings at the moment. Makes you feel less alone, right?! Sending you lots of love! xxx

I understand you very well about running. I'm planning to start over again after two years of stop due to laziness basically. But, of all the sports I've tried, I find it being the only excercise that allow me to shut down my head and just go on with an empty mind. I'm waiting for my new shoes to arrive and then....I'll start. Really looking forward! And for these hard times....don't push yourself: I wanted to do a lot of stuff like reading, cooking, watching movies....I did nothing. And it's fine too. :) Lots of love!!!

I'm only at the beginning of this vlog, but I definitely recommend completely ignoring the news. I haven't looked at the news since lockdown began (and honestly I hardly look at the news anyway) because you absolutely get told anything important by friends and family anyway. I haven't missed out on anything necessary because *someone* always tells me. And it really saves my mental health to not see all the stressful notifications all day - highly recommend it

Unsure if it doesn't matter what ripeness bananas are at, that make you feel ill... I was the same way about bananas until I started ripening them quiiiiiite a lot and peel and break them up into 1-inch pieces and keep a giant tub in the freezer which doubles in that they make smoothies ultra dreamy-creamy! The less ripe the higher likelihood of cramping for me.

Apparently frozen zucchini is a really good replacement for bananas in smoothies! It makes them thicker/creamier
