Sammy make sure you get tested for Lyme’s disease! I got it from a tick bite and had the same symptoms as you. Only difference is I was misdiagnosed by the dr’s and have been suffering with it for years because of it. It’s really serious, get tested!

Hey Sammy make sure you get on doxycycline ASAP! My mum has Lyme disease from a tick bite and has been severely unwell for the past 6years as she never went on the course of doxycycline. You need to be on it for at least 6 weeks. We live in Australia and doctors don’t often recognise Lyme disease so make sure you do your research

Did the blood work test for Lyme disease?? I don't know if that's a huge issue in Australia with ticks but you should definitely look into it!! It can be treated if detected early

Adopt dont shop!! Im fostering a rescue dog. She came in extremely scared, vulnerable, skinny, scared and now its been 2 months and shes a healthy, happy dog thats running around. I realized how many poor souls need 2nd chances! So please please adopt!! There are tons of puppies and poor souls that need homes. No need to bring in new dogs into the world!!

Actually the tick can transmit 2 different bacterias: the rockettsia causes spotted fever. The bacteria wich causes lyme's disease a different one.

For future reference with ticks - methylated spirits dissolves half the body and the head will keep burrowing. I've had it happen myself - the best thing to do is cover it with vasoline to suffocate the bug til it raises it head out of you and then kill it with metho. Just weird life advice xx

Ohh Sam sorry! I've had a tick bite before and i was swollen up. But i was sick the week before with an allergic cold and my mam got me meds that actually helped me not get so sick from the bite! Seriously how God works though. I hope by today you're well! Love and Happppyy neew year!

As much as adopting is important it's not always the most realistic option! Where I'm from shelters are full with larger/more active breeds which I doubt would fit into Sammy's lifestyle or house for that matter. Everyone should be able to research and make their own educated decision about what breed is right for their family (:

@@ally9662 there are soooo many dogs who are smaller and require less excercise in shelters and rescue groups, SO many!! The more people are uneducated and naive about that and will see these cute toy breeds and have little knowledge about where they come from and how much excess breeding there is in the world. So much overpopulation and unessacary deaths everday will never change when we dont start making a change.

Omg everyone needs to calm down about ticks. It was most likely a bush tick which doesn’t carry Lyme disease (Australian ticks aren’t infected like the US, you only need to worry about the white ones for infections). Clearly the head has been stuck inside her back which has made her sick and she’s getting professional help.
