If I removed race & gender from this election & base my vote on what was said and researched the candidates...I want my daughter to have assistance with her first home purchase & not to have the construction workers deported; I want my 79yr old neighbors to not worry about their social security and medicine; I want my GYN patients to have that DnC if something goes wrong & not worry if our team is breaking the law; I don't want to worry about my son or yours to be KILLED by a cop who has complete immunity. I think that this country has always been the way it is, divisive. I do believe that trump made it comfortable and normal to be openly hateful and divisive..And one thing that we should not forget is that Trump is not a "true Republican" he run his campaign on MAGA. When was this country ever great for people of color...what specific time period was his campaign referring to.. Kamala did not win because she is a black woman and a lot of people decided not to vote...I do say please always exercise your right to vote because tons of people died for our right to vote in this country, black and brown people did not always have the right to vote and not only vote in presidential elections but to vote in all...i.e. local, state and federal.

I disagree with Kamala not winning because she is a black woman because that’s a narrative that’s questionable within itself. She ran a terrible campaign and that’s the truth. We can say she didn’t have enough time but she had enough money, 1 billion dollars which was blown. Using the same old strategy believing that is will work time and time again is what did her in. I don’t buy the “price of groceries” argument when I see all of these coffee shops and cosmetic stores thriving. I’m walking through T.J. Maxx and I see carts full of junk. I raised my kids in the 1990’s on a strict budget that didn’t include Starbucks, Sephora, and nail salons. Dining out only occurred on birthdays and anniversaries. I’ve lived through multiple presidents and it doesn’t matter who is in office. Ya gotta live below your means and invest your money for the long term. Neither Trump nor Harris are going to save you.

I def agree that no one is going to save you. As far as the groceries, prices have increased dramatically. I’m always in the grocery store and I see the difference. 2-3 years ago my budget was $140-$150 weekly. It’s since increased to $200. I agree with living below your means and spending wisely.

@@KendraRN Every grocery store sells “loss leaders”. Try planning your meals around these. Adding beans to items (tacos, casseroles, etc) will make the meal go further and add nutritional value. I am not a vegetarian, but we all consume way more meat than we need. Americans are stress eating too. The added fat, sugar and sodium in our foods doesn’t help.

What I dislike about most elections is that people are often misinformed. We live in a society where information is easily accessible, yet many choose to rely on unverified sources that fit narratives they prefer. Firstly, inflation is driven by big corporations engaging in price gouging and raising prices, while the minimum wage has not been increased to keep up with the cost of living. Secondly, our economy isn't as bad as it may seem; we must remember that we went through a poorly managed pandemic. If Americans truly want change, we need to start at the state level and work our way up, which means voting in local elections, not just during presidential elections. Many politicians have been in their roles for decades and are resistant to change. We need new and younger members of Congress who understand the challenges we face as citizens. Lastly, Vice President Harris ran an excellent campaign given the limited time she had, but we must acknowledge that in America, we may never see a female president, largely because we live in a patriarchal society influenced by Christian values. In simple terms, "it's a man's world." I want to touch on the issue of why some people cut ties with others simply because of differing opinions or political views. The meaning of being blue or red has changed significantly over time. Granted, I believe everyone should vote in their best interest. I recall the racial tension I experienced during the first term of the president-elect due to his extreme rhetoric. Ill just leave it at that.

You’re one of the few KZbin channels that gave a reasonable commentary. In my opinion Kamala failed to prepare therefore failed to win. Her campaign and supporters online harassing people are out of touch and privileged. They need to remember Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. That election came down to choice vs necessity. At the rate they are going the map will be completely red in the next election. Her opponent has been preparing since 2008, if she was serious about the campaign she should have been preparing since she lost the primaries in 2019. Seems like her supporters wanted the win more than she did. As for Candace her opinions are just regurgitated talking points, she showed a flip flop mindset in my opinion when she was fired from the Daily wire the same thing she pretended never existed she is now saying got her canned. I think intros are great if it’s a first time on a channel but keep it SUPER short because it’s annoying to hear when you follow someone and watch a lot of their videos. I like the Minimal Mom’s where she says she’s a mom to 4, ages blank-blank and have been minimalists for blank number of years. Super short! It’s sad people are really breaking relationships over ‘politics’ but imo it’s not the politics but that people support the PERSON who has extremely hypocritical, racists, sexist, and plain and simple not good character. I don’t think people would be so hurt and divided by another republican but it was Trumps character that had people questioning if their loved ones were just as “not so nice” inside or had similar questionable character as him if they were supporting him. On another note regarding the campaign dept…Trump visited my state even though he still owed a couple million dollars from when he was here his last campaign. I think he owed vendors and security (can’t quite remember). So it was sad he stiffed all the people and had the audacity to come do it again 🤷🏻‍♀️ but again, that’s just imo.

I agree so hard. Kamala campaign's focus on celebrities felt so dystopian, basically an episode of Black Mirror. Trump meanwhile was speaking *directly* about the economy, *directly* about who is to blame for our circumstances (which of course were all hateful lies about immigrants and trans people, but still), directly about the solutions he's planning on.
