We have a hybrid as well and ours charges as we press the brake so it’s a good thing for traffic here in Southern California! The price difference buying a hybrid versus a standard has definitely been worth it with the gas prices. We were close to $4 a gallon for months!

I live in north west Cumbria, electric or hybrid cars don’t work around here as there’s no where to change if you don’t have a home charging point. I’ve never seen a charging point apart from in hotels and you can’t gate crash them. From where I live it’s 47 miles to the nearest motorway.

That’s the problem isn’t it? Even when you find a charging point many of them just don’t work! We have a hybrid but want to go full electric, we have a home charging point but travel is an issue still as the charging infrastructure is not there yet.

It’s not that great here, the weather is very depressing but the culture is (mostly) great! When I visited the US, I found I was very reserved compared to people in the states so there’s that 😂 I’ve heard it’s a big adjustment for Americans/canadians in comparison to what u guys are used to:)

Come to Scotland instead - people are way more friendly and we have great culture and scenery! Edinburgh is a lovely city, Glasgow's a bit grittier but great music scene. Then there's the Highlands and Islands - amazing!

Nice car - some bags for your dirty boots would've helped to keep the boot clean tho! The only thing that worries me about electric cars is just where does all that electicity come from? Wind farms are so awful - there's ancient peat-beds in the Shetland Isles currently being ripped up for a huge windfarm!

Bought my Golf GTE Plug in Hybrid in January, and been to the gas station 3 times. Works absolutely perfect with my daily driving, very happy with my choice. My next car will most likely be a fully electric.

What a lovely day out for the family! I never normally comment but just wanted to say- I have the exact same car which I picked up in September and I was very excited about being more eco, driving a hybrid. However, unfortunately the BMW advertising is very misleading about the electric efficiency of this car. I was told the electric range would be at least 30 miles and I never got more than 24 miles out of it so unless you’re driving very short distances and mostly rely on home charging, you will be using the petrol A LOT! Another thing they don’t tell you is how small the tank is- you will get a smaller range than on a small car like a Corsa or Golf- so unfortunately I’ve had a lot of trips to the petrol stations 😔

Am curious with the car battery whether over time it’s capacity will wear down (similar to what we experience with I phones) or is it always consistently going to give you the same range on a full charge? Also do you need to buy new batteries after a certain amount of years? Xx

To be honest, I haven't noticed any change since I've had one, but I guess when they get old then that may be an issue in the same way that old petrol engine cars need new parts etc?!

Hi all the way from Poland 🇵🇱 so nice to see some “normal and happy life” after/during all this Covid .. I’ve been literally watching last years vlogs to feel that world again.. what we did not appreciate at the time... especially during now in Poland scary times with all county in tier 3 ( call it red zone in here) and national strikes over just signed superb strict anti-abortion laws ... all just gone too much these days... thank you again Fleur.

My partner and I have the all electric MG car- it’s a lovely family car (no baby yet but it’s a plan) big enough for the dog in the boot too. We have the roof rack and sun roof version and it’s lovely and a more affordable electric version
