Elderly pets are so special, but it comes with a lot of difficult moments and difficult decisions. You know Neens best, and there is no doubt that she'll let you know when shes ready for her time in the Sun to end. It's just not that time yet, and you're not bad pet owners for it. (Not to get too deeply personal, but hell, when I had to make that decision for my senior dog 3 years ago, I questioned myself if I made the right decision to let him go. I realize now that I would of felt guilt no matter what I did, and I made the decision that was best for him. I find solace in that now.) I hope things return to some non-chaotic normalcy, and you're able to enjoy the last bit of your pregnancy before the baby is due. :) Happy Vlog-o-Ween!

Beautifully said. The privilege to care for senior pets is so rewarding and so difficult at the same time. But it’s true. You know them best, and they will tell you when they are ready, although YOU will never be. Thank you Jade for taking such wonderful care of our Queen Neens. We all love her so much! I had to do the same also about 3 years ago, our Max was 16 and it never gets easier when you have to make that decision. But we do everything we can to give them the happiest life and that's what counts. 🫂

I've had to make the tough decision 3 times. The first 2 times, I'm sure I did the right thing. The last time, I'm pretty sure I did. The vet said that it was unlikely my dog could recover, and she was almost 17. I thought it would be wrong to put her through a lot of appointments and tests. I will say this, the vet didn't try to talk me out of it.

This October has flown by! Honestly, I've felt September and October have been a week long this year. Been busy and magickal, but it's definitely been as short as a dream. Jade, I'm so glad Neens is feeling better. I teared up when you talked about Neens, I recently discovered that my 15 yr old Bailey has a heart murmur, and had no idea, cause he never acted like anything was wrong. He also developed dry eye, but the meds don't seem to be helping with that so they want to remove his eye, which scares me to think of him having surgery with a murmur. They recently prescribed him Vetmedin, to help,but it's still scary. Gives Neens a big hug and lots of snuggles.
