i just redid my kitchen and went with perla venata quartzite with my white cabinets and gold finishes. i love the natural look to the quartzite and the shine from the polish! you cant get that effect with quartz and it looks super manmade without it. as long as you get the quartzite sealed, you will be all good. i havent had any problems and i loveeee it. taj mahal looks just like perla venata if they have that. i also loved the mix of warm/cool tones.

Do like a jute woven basket that can just sit at the bottom of the stairs to hold ur shoes, it can also serve as a catch all for things u need to carry upstairs when ur cleaning up. Way better than having to run upstairs to put each individual item away and can hold ur clutter when ur lazy :)

I'm not a countertop expert, but I do have experience with granite countertops. Granite has never been my favorite in terms of looks (all the granite countertops I've had have been very dark colors and I like light & bright), but definitely has my vote in terms of wear! It always looks clean and is so durable that you can cut food directly on it! I don't even own any cutting boards because they're completely unnecessary. I hope this is helpful:)

My parents just built a new house and they fell in love with a stunning marble, so they went with it and got extra thick sealant. Marble is the most beautiful and imo it's generally worth the look. Though, they don't have little kids or anything, which might be a consideration for your future. Its easy to care for day to day in terms of just wiping it with plain water or stone cleaner, and they just use a towel and cutting board whenever they are cutting lemons or something.

Quartz can give you the same exact look and feel as marble except with better durability and wear! My moms hobby is purchasing and selling homes (lol I know) and her last house she bought super pretty marble with gold shimmer throughout it and although it was super pretty and she kept good care of it, she was hyper vigilant about caring for it. Her next 2 homes she stuck with quartz bc she really loves the look of it and its soo much easier to take care of :)

Granite, quartz, etc can look very beautiful. But if you do decide to do marble you can get it sealed which means it will be protected. But not sure how often you would have to do that. And love the oatmeal textured fabric you picked out for the cushions

I have white quartz counter tops and you have to be very careful about certain things that can stain them 😏 I’ve had them for about a year and have one stain from something I didn’t wipe up right away. The other downside to quartz is that high heat can damage them, so I got a trivet to put under my air fryer when I use it! Just some things to keep in mind.

We have granite in our kitchen which is easy to clean and very durable and marble in our bathroom which I HATE! They are pretty but are impossible to keep clean. You basically have to baby them and clean anything off immediately or water and oil stains will seep in. They are just impractical for a bathroom.

Marble stains super easily. If you accidentally leave a puddle of water on the marble for a little it will stain and leave a dark ring
