Seeing the Major Oak was a blast from the past. I grew up in Lincoln and visited with my family many times in the early/mid 70s. I also remember playing hide and seek with my sister inside the tree. Somehow it looks smaller than I remember... 😆 I spent many days in Skegness too.

Simon I remember going to Sherwood Forrest as a kid (Many moons ago now) and I'm sure there was a big Oak tree which we called Robin Hoods tree that we could get right up to and even stand in the hollow, would you know if the Major Oak would be the same tree? What I do remember is the majesty and magic of being in it's presence even as a young kid.

Also I love seeing you put milk in your tea! That's how my grandmother taught me to drink it, but sometimes if you do that in Canada people think your weird. They look at you Iike you have two heads..I always tell them the British know their tea , so if its good enough for them, its good enough for us 😆
