Dr. Dray - just in case you have never seen them, Athleta also has lots of UPF 50 clothing and I think you would really like some of their styles!!! And they have a 100% return policy - even if you’ve worn it for a year and it gets a hole in it or something - you can return it! I have a UPF 50 shirt and hoodie, and love them!!

Living in permanent summer would be my description of hell. I so long for cooler autumn, cold winter. Fashion is so much superior during these seasons: beautiful jumpers, coats, high knee boots etc. and lots of warm cosiness by the wood burner.

Come to Scotland. I think we had about 2 weeks of sun this year - crappy wet/humid Summer. It's heavy rain, high winds and cold here (around 9 degrees c). We long for blue skies and mild weather lol. Best wishes.

Leen Marie R Summer in San Diego is mild not too hot, great thing is the heat is not humid. Summer is in the low to mid 80*F , Fall and Winter can be cold for us with temperature in the 50-60*F, Spring is comfortable 70*F

Loraine Mcgillivray You will enjoy San Diego. We are famous for the best weather in the country. Fall have fewer conventions so freeing up hotel. Spring the beaches are less crowded compared to summer, hotel prices in Spring are lower than other seasons. Spring is not foggy and cloudy like in June ( early Summer -June gloom). Spring temperatures is in the low 70*F and sunny ( in case I didn’t mention earlier). The best time is March through April. In San Diego we don’t have any tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunami. Earthquake is rare and not a yearly natural disaster like other places in the country. Lots of outdoor activity for the whole family in the Spring. We are casually dressed unless going to an event.

OMG ICE RINK!!! 💙🙏🏻💙 I haven't been on the ice in YEARS and this totally inspired me to put it on my list for this winter. Also LMAO @ Macy's catalog with the fragranced sunscreen; I ordered a Heliocare 360 sunscreen from Europe earlier this year and had the same experience when I put it on and immediately smelled strongly of Big Red gum. 🤣 Loved seeing your San Diego adventures!!! ❤️

I love it, for whatever my "stranger's opinion" is worth, lol! I find that CeraVe's hydrating cleanser causes some stinging around my nose, whereas the Equate version doesn't do that. It's super cost effective, too. :)

Yea, I’m using that face wash now and I can’t say whether it’s more or less drying than the original version! So curious to hear your thoughts, please update! I find that the cerave foaming is not a comfortable second cleanse...it seems sticky and hard to spread When I’ve tried. My first cleanse is ponds cold cream that I’m trying to finish Up cause fragrance. I liked the simple water boost micellear gel as a second cleanse. You can see the makeup dissolve right off. Cerave doesn’t do that. But cerave is much better on its own when compared to the simple

Hi Dr Dray, I am currently using that L'Oreal vitamin C serum and it is fantastic. It is a milky siliconey liquid that creates a warming sensation when applied (due to glycerin and propylene glycol?), but it's not too irritating otherwise. Interestingly, it does not turn orange near the opening, suggesting a good packaging and/or a good formulation by L'Oreal. :)

Olive Kitteridge is also a miniseries on HBO (with Frances McDormand). I enjoyed both the book and the miniseries. I'm ready to go back to San Diego now!! Weather is beautiful all year. I was a little surprised when you said you were visiting Black's Beach because it is notorious for being a nude beach, so it was funny when you realized that. We do love our beach walks and do it as often as possible. You didn't mention but it looks like you hiked at Torrey Pines State beach, another lovely Beach / Cliff hike. As for San Diego High School, my alma mater, it is the first High School in San Diego and that's how it got the name so I hope that answers your question. So glad you enjoyed your stay.

On another note, I’m heading to El Paso Tx in a few weeks and would love a video on sun exposure and high altitudes. I think it's because it is located in downtown San Diego it got chosen for that name; obviously, there are numerous high schools in San Diego, but that one is located in downtown SD. San Diego is great! You had me chuckling about the pizza. My favorite is salad pizza (lots of sauce, no cheese) dressed with balsamic vinegar. I once enjoyed scented candles and always had one burning. One day I looked up at my ceiling and it was covered with black soot marks, so sad.

I haven't watched the whole video yet, but had to comment. San Diego is sooo gorgeous. We are considering moving there. I'm a PA and have several friends who are in private practice and keep bugging me to move. The farmers markets always continue to blow me away. I'm so excited you are there and enjoying everything!!!! That's a pretty big bottle of face wash..especially when you do not like it. I purchased Cetaphil FFree facial cleanser, and daily facial lotion with Hyaluronic Acid and I'm enjoying it. San Diego High was the first high school in the city🤣 before it was earthquake updated the school resembled a grey castle, it’s nickname was the grey castle☺️ but now it looks like.....well you saw it 😒. so glad you were here for a visit.

So cool you were at Coffe and Art at the beginning of the video :), the owner is my friend. I told you long time ago, when you had seasonal allergies to move to California, and I know is wayyyy to expensive, but its a wonderful state. San Diego in particular is a big city with the small town feel. I am bummed you didn’t visi Balboa Park, but you were just on the other side, at The Veteran Museum’s parking lot. Balboa Park is extensive and it takes a full day at least to visit some of it. There are 16 museums, but just been outside, at the Organ Pavillon, where every Sunday at 2 pm there are events, for free, is a good experience. Same as at the Houses of the Pacific Nations, there are cultural events at 2 pm most Sundays. You made quite of a detour to go from Balboa to the UTC Mall in La Jolla, but I am glad you visited the beach there as well. i generally don't unless i have just eaten or touched something dirty/irritating. I wash my hands several times a day to reduce transmission of cold and flu viruses, but doing this excessively is not good for your skin, nor is it a necessary step before spf application unless your hands are visibly soiled or you have just handled something dirty/irritating. You wash off spf from your hands, and you can wind up transferring irritating hand sanitizer ingredients or fragrance to the area around your eyes, leading to rashes and stinging.
