I told my children when they were small they should look out for each other & they needed to be there for each other. They are now 31,33,& 36 & I still like to be in the next room listening to their laughter & banter w each other... it does warm a Mamas ❤️

Hey Jen, I turned vegan a few years ago and while doing some surfing on KZbin, I found your video regarding your decision to move to a more plant-based diet. I recently noticed that you have since started consuming chicken and some seafood. Not sure if you addressed this in a prior video but as a vegan convert myself, it would be interesting to know why you restarted with animal meat. I remember you had felt pretty strongly about it at the time.

It's just so wonderful when siblings are friends! A total blessing for all.! And I completely agree in seeing the good that has come out of this sad, terrible time. There have undoubtedly been many lessons we have all learned in one way or another.

As a former US elementary school teacher now living and teaching in Tanzania, there is so much truth to what you said about the skill of imagination and free play. There is such a difference between kids who have obviously only experienced structured or entertainment focused play time, and those who have been given the space to create and be without other distractions. Obviously my students in Tanzania lack a lot of basic needs that put them at a disadvantage, but they also have developed so many important skills at such a young age that my students in the US sorely lacked. Thanks for starting the conversation about a really interesting and important topic!

The creative play your children do together is precious. I remember Saturday nights my mom would sometimes make popcorn and fudge as a special treat and we’d watch a movie. It always felt special- seeing you make the popcorn for the kids reminded me of that wonderful memory. 💕

Hi Jen, lovely vlog as usual! I work for Amazon doing the Whole Food grocery orders. Just a tip, if you don't want the produce bags to be used, type that in the chat with your shopper. Otherwise, we are required to use the produce bags. Hope that helps :)

As a kindergarten teacher I noticed the children came back to Kindy happy and well adjusted many behaviours that some children had had disappeared. The children’s language development had grown and to sum it up they were happy. I know that this will not be the case for some children depending on the environment in which they were during lockdown. However it goes to show that families that slow down and spend time together benefit in many ways.

I agree, sometimes it seems kids get chauffeured around from one event to event as if time at home together is unbearable. We will only pass this season of our lives once. Embrace the moments and each season. Have the best available to you.

As someone who works in the bakery/deli at a grocery store, I am horrified that they put carrots in the same bag with raw chicken. Hello, cross-contamination. Yes, they put them in plastic bags, but still ew.

Di Grenier yes. So good over popcorn with a little chilli lime it’s such a good option. I make a lot with it. Good substitute for parm cheese. Good to make cheese sauces or Mac and cheese. 👌🏽

Have to admit I HATED nutrition yeast for years! But after trying it again, I absolutely love it with popcorn. It has to be the brand that makes a difference - I've tried numerous brands before figuring out which one I love, but in turn family hates. So it all depends

My children are great at entertaining themselves, too, and I am so thankful for that. There is something to be said though about the importance of and value in being bored. Boredom often sparks creativity. Malcolm Gladwell frequently talks about how necessary downtime for your brain is. It doesn't need to be constantly stimulated. Love this.

Pantsuit politics is far from bias.... if you’re using that as a filter for one of main sources of news, could be good to balance that out with a different source that is a bit more center as well... there’s a website that carries news from the left right and center and shows you headlines and articles about the same topic/event from each perspective. It’s not perfect but at least it tries...

I'm glad I'm not the only one that struggles with those huge stickers on the Whole Foods delivery bags and then sticking to produce bags as I pull them out! So annoying. And I am with you on wishing there weren't soooo many extra plastic bags involved in doing grocery pickup/delivery. I know some people have success with putting in notes that they don't want them but I know that is extremely hit or miss.
