Nice collection of vacs. On those Kirby's. 1. Check the rest of the trash that you find one and grab any of the attachments and their carrier. It will make them worth more on the resale. The attachments are not cheap either. The Generation ones also have carpet cleaner attachments. 2. Take a look at some of the You Tube videos on the Kirby's. You can clean/wash those outer bags and save you some money not having to replace them.

Vacuums can range in price. The Kirby vacuums can fetch upwards of $75-$100 on E- bay. Depending on condition. Oreck also can sell for a good amount. The Hoover vacuums are more desired by collectors, like myself. They don't yield a fortune, but more than likely would sell to that one person looking for that particular model. The Royal could sell for your $80 investment. I myself prefer Hoover vacuums. But the red Eureka you have is catching my eye. I have repaired vacuums for about 30 years now. Like yourself, I collected mine from the side of the road. Trash find machines were my favorite. Most times there is not much wrong with them. A good cleaning & a few simple parts can bring back to life a great machine. I own an Electrolux tank vac from 1976. It is as old as me!!! Works like it is brand new. It can become a fun hobby. Selling could take time. But persistence will pay off!

Forgot, with the Kirby that did not come on, check the speed switch that is mounted on the front. It is behind the power head. It is triggered by the power head, or hose attachment. Those tend to go out.

As much as I too would love to collect vacuums, I live in a small house with almost all hardwood floors with 2 carpets like you have in the garage. That combined with a situation right now that limits my space, I have to keep it at the Oreck and Sanitaire I have now. That Eureka is the exact same thing as a Sanitaire when it comes to the bag and underside. Those two Hoovers are interesting. Any separate videos of them coming as well as the new Oreck?

Yea I can probably slap some together what do you want to see just an overview on what I did with them?

What is the serial number on your blue Royal 880 that you found? Examples: B85-D-74801, G86F087614. I wish you could keep that along with all the older Kirbys you found.

+ClassicTVMan1981X Where is it located I looked on it and couldn't find any serial number or model number. As much as I would love to if I start keeping stuff it just sits and turns into a hoard of things, this stuff takes up space man, I will be keeping the newer kirby though. Idk about the royal have to determine its value first if its worth selling

hanksranger You have to look on the back of the nozzle casting where the front wheels are. Did you check there? You may have found an obscured nameplate if so.

+hanksranger Are you also going to keep that Kirby Heritage II with the winged head? I know how old that one is: it was made between September 1984 (x8409xxxxx) and March 1985 (x8503xxxxx); the serial number can be found on the fan case to the left of the headlight cap.

I think you're starting to become a vacuum cleaner "collector" yourself :) oh man, I wonder if pawn shops would be interested in that kinda stuff? I know vacuums used to be pricey as hell back in the days when dealers would come to your house and show off models and everything was replaceable and repairable in them vs today... 100% plastic and junk em when they break. what a waste.

I don't understand why people don't bother to fix things or clean them you just waste money throwing things away like the Kirbys those ARE NOT CHEAP if people don't whant them donate or sell them no mater how old something is if it has problems I try truble shooting it and fixing it before I confirm its done IT COULD BE JUST A LOSE WIRE OR SOMETHING AND YOU CAN EASILY GET AT LEAST 5 TO 10 YEARS OUT OF ANY MACHIEN
