So glad to see you using rhubarb, it freezes really well in case you didn’t know that, great for pies...strawberry rhubarb is the best....I stew mine so it’s still chunky and then have it with French vanilla yogurt....yummy.......love Rivers two new dresses......at least you are having some summer Fleur it’s been cool and rainy here, although today is sunny and about 50.........I haven’t worn anything even remotely summery yet.....have a great week........Donna in Toronto

You're foccacia turned out perfectly. I used to live in Italy and that is exactly what classic foccacia should look like. It shouldn't rise more than that and isn't supposed to be spongy... if it is it may be delicious, but I wouldn't considering actual foccacia. You're family is so lovely. Stay safe!

Rhubarb pineapple ginger jam is incredibly good - I love making it to use up some of the greener rhubarb from the garden. The pink stuff has such a great flavour though. Top tip: don't waste the white bit right at the root, it's the best and most flavoursome bit!

I just discovered rhubarb syrup. I made some for easter to mix with sparkling water and it is super delicous! The recipe I did was in the Thermomix, so you just put 500g of rhubarb (washed and in slices), 300g of water, 150g of sugar (I took 100g of normal sugar and 40g of vanilla sugar) and 30g of lemonjuice in the thermomix and cook it at 90°C at level 1 for 20 minutes and put it through a sieve into sterilized bottles. Suuuuuper tasty with sparkeling water and ice cubes! 🥰😍

Make croutons with your left over focaccia -store in freezer! Rhubarb pie - my absolute favorite. Unheard of here in the US unless it's with strawberries, which totally ruins the rhubarb! Just stewed with a little honey, over yogurt or ice cream, or with custard. Love the stewed compote with pork (sorry!). Rhubarb ice cream is also divine.

Nice vlog, hope you are feeling okay Fleur, we might have had it too. In February we were in South Carolina at Myrtle Beach, Nikolas got sick then we did. Sick too for about 5 days (horrible thought it was bad bronchitis). The focaccia looks good. My Dad was Italian. Mom learned to make sauce from scratch, really good. Rhubarb we use in yogurt with strawberries, Yum. River is getting bigger, so cute. We love Piglet and Squidge. Stay well! Joan Bates

Fleur, I love River’s dress. I live in Paris and I saw a very similar one in a chic shop recently but for 4 times that price. I am seriously considering buying River’s one for my niece’s second birthday. In terms of rhubarb, I made some rhubarb muffins with crumble topping from BBC Good Food last week - delicious! And also I made some compote with Apple and cinnamon - also very good - and jam - but I think I need to adjust my sugar quantities. I love rhubarb and am so happy when the season comes round!

I had Covid, but didn't have cough or loss of taste/smell. I only went out twice, to drugstore, covered and disinfected every item that came into the house. I was sick for over 3 weeks, and still exhausted with daily headaches at the end of week 4. I knew something was wrong when I couldn't get enough oxygen in. Walking up the stairs had me seriously gasping for air. I would have to concentrate on deep breathes to get enough exygen in. I had been running up and down my stairs 100x just for exericse before I got sick.
