Hey Julia! I work in the fruit industry, and the vinegar/baking soda soak isn't necessary. Rinsing for 20 seconds under cool running water is the best way to clean your fruit. 🍎

I heard vinegar doesn't take off pesticides, but baking soda does! Also don't feel bad about paying sale price, product is already marked up to cover cost and profit. They run sales to move through slow inventory while still making a profit. Speaking from my retail planning experience 😉

I sometimes soak my conventional (not organic) produce in 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water for 5-10 minutes to get all the dirt and pesticides off. I think it works... ?

So they say don't mix the vinegar in the baking soda together. Just the baking soda is a great 💡 and key lime and sea salt work great as well.
