this song is about what happens when you push a man too far, lol. it's about people telling him what a horrible person he is/was and just keep on pushing and pushing the negativity and hostility towards him while he's struggling to get back on his feet, until he finally caves in and lashes back, becoming "the monster" they all portray him to be, saying things he probably never would have said otherwise. the little girl portrays his daughter, rescuing him back into the light from the dark mental state he was in. people tend to forget that also "popular" people have their own monsters to deal with, and feeding those monsters with negativity doesn't do anyone any good. Ronnie sings from his own life experiences, which gives his songs very relatable lyrics for people who have gone through similar situations.

He grew up listening to rap, was inspired by Em to make music himself and is a rock star AND a rapper. He recorded a whole rap mixtape to give to his fans for free in 2013. A**hole is a fun song from it. Devil and Destiny are also great (to be honest I love every song on it).
