A great cause. My charity group has people who cut out and make kits for bibs, tag blankets, tote bags, receiving blankets, surgery buddies, pillowcases…the list is huge. And we grab a kit, sew it up (or knit), bring it back and some of us are deliverers. We’re better together and there are so many needs out there.

This sounds like a fantastic organization. I’ve lost count of the number of quilts I have pieced and quilted in the last 8 years for Project Linus of Montgomery County, Tx. I get more out of it than the kids do and I know it means lots for them too.

Oh, Amy, you knocked this one out of the park girl! I'm in rural Nevada 4 hours north of Vegas, so of course, our area isn't listed. I do know a local foster mom and will see about chatting with her after the first of the year and see if I can get a good contact in the family services area here. It may not end up affiliated with this amazing group, but I want to see if a connection could be made as well as quilts being made and placed for a variety ages and for both boys and girls. Thank you fi the kick in the butt that I needed! This goes with our ZOOM conversation about projects and 2025. P.S. I made quickie tacos tonight 😅

Omg!!!! This is what I needed to hear, and maybe others need it as well! Let’s all share this video with someone else! And now I have a reason to keep quilting, even though my family is well covered!

What a wonderful organization. We've been making quilts and blankets for years for teens aging out of foster care. Some have virtually nothing and their advocates try to put together a laundry basket of things they might need. They said one of the most appreciated items is a blanket for their bed. Thank you for highlighting this organization.😊

Oh, Amy, your dear kind heart was on full display today. ❤ What a wonderful program! We have a program in our area that is specifically for women who are escaping abusiv3 relationships, often with young children in tow. I imagine handmade quilts would be a source of comfort for them. . . . I am feeling motivated to find out now! Thank your for the suggestions!

I got teary too Amy. I have made polar fleece blankets for several local groups that helped different groups. Sadly our local Project Linus group has closed and I need another group. Thank you for sharing this great group.

I love this for so many reasons, especially that they take new sew blankets. So many more people can do that if they have no sewing skills. Thank you for sharing this interview. Indiana has many contacts but not in my county. I may try to see how to get this started in my mine.
