First time viewer thanks to the recommendation of the lovely Kim of the Knitting Posse. Kudos on your podcast!! Love it! The needle felting tip makes so much sense. After knitting and crocheting for more decades than you've been alive, it is inspiring to learn something new to me.😊 I'll be watching. Merry Christmas! 🎄

We picked up my daughter from the airport today, she came home from her first semester at college. Our son comes home on Monday and we are happy to have our kids home for this holiday. The full house may be some adjustment and there will not be much down time but time together is worth it all. Thanks for your words about the season.

I have been up since 7 AM and I’m now on my fourth type of cookie I am baking. Plus, I knocked over a plate of peanut butter blossoms, the ones that have the Hershey’s kiss in the center, and they all fell upside down and had to throw the whole plate out. I did not do that magic ball for my Selena slipover which is almost done. I regret that I did not do that as I like the way yours turned out much better. I will post when finished. Working on the collar now. It came out really giant like a big coat, and one of my friends is encouraging me to try to steek it. We’ll see when I come back from my trip to NYC. Merry Christmas!

That is such a smart way to join yarn! I always needle felt in the woven in ends so they don't pup up but never thought of joinging that way

When you asked us what you should make with that yarn I thought about your vest that you make, I love when other knitters and crocheters make things with different colors in there work

I'm hoping you will take a photo of the Delia's yarns when you've opened them all. They're so fun. The Knit Collage yarns are so pretty and even more exciting knit up. Your vest pattern is the perfect choice. You can spit/splice any non superwash wool yarns together with or without the needle felting bit. If the yarn is plied, it's best to tear it apart about 2 inches from each end to reduce bulk where they will overlap. I'm sure there are oodles of videos on this, but I'm with you on the joy of not having to weave in so many ends. Thank you for all your inspiration.

I'm finishing up my 5th half hour hat... it's addicting! i think I might need to try a side-tie vest next, that looks super fun! Wish I had fun yarn like you though, I might have to hold some fun yarns together to make a bulkier weight non-black vest :)

I need one of those! Sure beats the spit lol. I'm making a sweater with some Rios malabrigo and someone recommended to rotate the skeins since hand dyed yarn even though same losts are just a wee different in color variation. Happy holidays everyone from ours to yours.
