10 rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin, Alimta, and Avastin)
6 with Carboplatin, 4 without
Targeted Brain Radiation (Completed)

The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
family.

Kyle, I would absolutely send the children to that camp. You and they will discover that your situation is not at all unusual. They'll make friends that have lost one or both parents, perhaps worse. This will help them cope much better with losing their mom❤️🙏.

I understand your concern for Winnie and Ellis not having many other children in their lives who’ve lost parents to get support for losing their beautiful mom. When you shared before that you had been sick,my thoughts went IMMEDIATELY to your kids and I was truly concerned with how seeing you sick might be extra upsetting for them. I’m so glad the bug was a “24 hour” thing and that the kids didn’t catch it. You,Kyle,are a fine dad and human! I do worry,sometimes,at all that you have on your plate,but you handle it so well! 🎄🎄🎄As for the Christmas music of my childhood…I was born in 1954 and it wasn’t until I was about 8 that we could afford a hi-fi,so all my Christmas music came from the radio until then. I DO remember an Andy Williams record that we loved! I had an alcoholic dad who hated the holidays,but…God bless my dear mom,she ALWAYS made Christmas as special as she could on the limited funds we had! 🎄🎄Thank you for sharing your days with us,Kyle and God bless you!❤️

I am very old school. I love Handels Messiah. My mother loved it and played it a lot around Christmas, she also lived in Guatemala for about 17 years and had a few Macau’s that she taught some of it to. So lots of memories with it, especially now since she passed away this last January. Also I love listening to all the old Christmas Carols. 🎁☃️🌲🎶

The camp for children who have lost a loved one is such a beautiful idea. It pains me that it’s needed but such a beautiful gift for children to connect with peers who are experiencing the same feelings of grief. Huge hugs to you as you research the camp, Kyle. We also have two little hairy boys in our home when we leave they like to get into the garbage can. So my son went and bought us a garbage can that fits between the freezer and the counter that has a pop-up lid that you use your foot to open. It is about 3 1/2 ft high and now we don't have trouble with our little boys getting in the garbage when we leave.

My Mom and Dad had the Judy Collins Christmas album in the 90s. I can’t even complain because it’s amazing. They also had a record of the Boys Mormon Tabernacle Choir 😂. Of course, my sister and I loved our Alvin and the chipmunks record. That should tell you how old I am. 😊

My father was German and we had huge family Christmas parties listening to German marching music. We listened to some Christmas music as my aunts and uncles requested. Crazy times! We had so much fun and we were just little,we had no idea how unique we were! Kyle I wanted to share I just lost my mom, my best friend in the world and I am hurting. I also have a ten year old son who loved his Grammy so much. She was in hospice and I was able to spend the last few months caring for her. She passed on dec 4th.

I haven’t lost a parent but I have a disability the same as Michael. And my parents finding me a drama group with kids and young people just like me helped a lot!! 😁 I was resistant at first but ended up loving it and it helped me during my teen years especially and as I age other support groups have taken its place. I really value the friendships that come out of them. It just easy cause they get my struggles. You don’t have to explain to them

My stepbrothers lost their mom to cancer when they were 5&7. We were fortunate to that when their dad married my mom , their parents were divorced already but we became a family instantly, our father abandoned us so , for us we just became whole I guess you could say . My youngest stepbrother said he didn’t remember a lot about loosing his mom , my older brother kinda did , I remember he went to counseling for a little bit , this was in the 70s. But I do remember when we started going to church together , it helped us bond I think …. But no matter what it’s good that you want them to let them go their pace . You are doing an amazing job , your Mrs would be so proud , I’m sure she’s there with you every step of the way Oh I also loved Christmas music from different artists, but my favorite now is Michael Buble ❤fromTX

Warmest hugs sweet Kyle, we as adults know the gravity of death Cancer, children do not, it will hit them when they are older 18-25. We love you always thinking of you. I want to take a plane ride and help you. I also got a chuckle out of Huckle because I wash my floor every week and I swear to you minutes after I wash the floor a couple hours after I wash the floor, I’ll drop an avocado you drop whatever face down right on the clean floor but that little dog of yours he’s a little bundle.

I think a children's grief camp is a great idea. But I would let the kids decide. At different ages and with different temperaments it might be good for one and not the other. Or maybe not now but 6 months from now. Let them know it's an option but no pressure. Assuming they are still doing grief therapy, then that might be enough...at least for now.

We didn't have music 😢. But when I was older and would go to my future in-laws, it was all old ones. My favorite was Bing Crosby White Christmas 🎄. My children were raised listening 🎶 to all the old Christmas 🎄 music as well. Every weekend I would bake and the music would be going!!!!❤

My "growing up with" album was Ray Conniff Singers. But MINE was that I listened to on CD when they were just first becoming available was Mannheim Steamroller (and then all the subsequent ones, but the original). I was 17 when I first heard it and got it as a gift.

Our Christmas album we listened to when I was a child was Gene Autry’s Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer album. It’s a white album cover and Autry is standing there will his cowboy outfit on. And Rudolph is leading the way for Santa’s sleigh. Another one was Johnny Mathis. I don’t recall the name of that album. I still have Gene Autry’s album. I am 65 years old. And tonight is the 60th anniversary of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. So guess what I will be watching!

I am a funeral director. I took a break from doing that for a bit and ran a peer support group for kids. (I'm back to funeral directing.) I was also the director of a children's Grief Camp (Camp Erin network) for 4 years. It can be amazing to see kids being together with other kids who have experienced a death of someone close to them. Think about crating Huckle - it will be peace of mind for you and he will have a place to go and relax. Our 8 month old puppy eats everything, he goes around the house stealing shoes and socks, he is in garbages, but when we leave the house he is in a crate so we don't have any unwanted surprses when we get home. Put some treats in there and his favourite toys, he will find it calming. Good luck and thank you for continuing to share your journey.
