I chuckled at your dog's reaction to getting caught out. 😮 There is so much to do at Christmas and I have to pack up to go stay at a friend's home in The Wellington Vineyards. You looked so tired, Amber. Hope you get a good night's sleep and recover quickly. I sympathise with the lingering sinus problem. I don't have this problem - mine is the lingering hoarseness and loss of voice after a cold and sore throat (current situation - glad I'm writing this and not having to say it!) which stops me being able to sing. Since I sing in our church choir, this is utter calamity! Christmas and no joining in with all the lovely carols and Christmas songs! Get well soon and God bless you. Thank you for sharing your vlogmas. (I loved the dog and the chocolate incident. It really made me smile and I hope poor doggy didn't suffer any physical or guilt-induced harm from the forbidden treat!❤) xx

Hi Amber, really enjoying Vlogmas this year and glad you are feeling better! My dog would have gone through the whole basket and unwrapped everything she could get her snout on! Midi looked so guilty - it was very funny!! Quick orchid tip: always water your orchids from the top and let it drain all out once a week - they do not like sitting in water. I’ve been growing them for years and they always bloom for me! I took a class at a local nursery and it was just so interesting! Thanks for doing vlogmas again this year - it’s so nice to have something festive to watch after a long day at work! Oh, my… amazing how our furry family can find things we don’t even know we have! I had my Benji find 2 large dark chocolate bars I forgot I even had. He hate both but his tummy didn’t like them fortunately for him. Unfortunately for me as I ended up just throwing away one of my favorite rugs…. 🙁 I really enjoy Brad being a part of your blog. You two are so sweet together…..❤

I can relate to you. Whenever I get sick it takes me weeks to get over it. Your advent yarn is lovely. I have been doing Sophie scarves for gifts. They are a easy fun knit🇨🇦 Tea was a nice gift.

Ah sorry the drainage and coughing are still going. Hope it's over soon. I used to roast my own coffee beans with a hot air popcorn popper. Fun! And yes you have to listen for first crack and second crack and turn it off quickly. That's so great he does that for you. Delish!

Hi Amber, I had that virus’, cold and nasty braying cough in November and it stayed with me for weeks! After day 13 I went to doctor’s and was prescribed antibiotics and steroids. It certainly helped but even so I was so dealing with symptoms for another 2 weeks. Allow yourself to rest when you can! Hot lemon with ginger and honey plus a dash of cayenne works wonders! Xx

Exactly the same with sinus problems if I get a cold. Lasts forever and am miserable. Get better soon. Thanks for the tea idea. Ordered from Amazon. Too funny about the marshmallow fiasco with the puppy. Loving the blog has episodes. Merry Christmas!

We are big Dean’s Beans people in this house too. We buy it roasted. Our daughter (who was a barista) introduced us to it and the rest is history. They even used little bags as their wedding favor, lol. Looking forward to seeing the roasting process. Hope your sinuses give you a break soon.

Thank you for your Advent vlogmases! Perhaps you could try the following for your cough. If you have any vapour rub (which is usually put on the chest or made into an inhalant) rub some into the ball of you feet, from the big toe side out towards the side of your feet before getting into bed. If you look at a reflexology foot map you will see the area that relates to the lungs. The dog episode was so funny.😂😂

Am im sorry you’re still not feeling well,I too have long issues of getting rid of colds and I am not a napper, I am the same 45 minutes to an 1 her too much wasted time……love that you have family dinners that’s just awesome, we started it but my kids just don’t seem to be interested or take time…..keep it up it’s important……blessings have a beautiful week….❤

I feel you on the seeming eternal recovery period. Since I was 20 (that was a couple few decades ago) I get bronchitis once-twice a year and it literally takes two to three months to recover from it. It’s so frustrating. Anyhoo, I love your vlog and vlogmas. Thanks for sharing your life with us.

Oh dear, Christmas is a dangerous time for dogs! Mine once ate 3 bars of Dandelion chocolate that was a gift for me from my son…I could have killed him! But the worst part is it can make them ill, so I hope yours is ok after his unauthorized snacking!

Have you tried using a neti pot or sinus rinse bottle to help alleviate some of your drainage and sinus inflammation? As someone who has constantly battled sinus issues and allergies, I can attest to the fact that neti pots are life changing!!!!!!

Hi Kate! Yes, so I actually can't use a neti pot or rinses. My sinus passages are so small that when they get inflamed when I'm sick, the saline actually gets trapped in my sinus cavities and makes me feel even worse. It's unfortunate because I know so many people who find them to be so helpful!

That coffee looks delish!!! Would love to see how you make it roasting etc from scratch. I'm not 100% sure, but I think chocolate can be harmful to dogs. Thanks for the time and effort you put into these vlogs. Feel better-

I will try to include the roasting process on a vlog. And, yep, you're right. Dogs do not digest chocolate well, but she has been fine all day so I think we're good. Keeping the advent basket up off the floor though!

1.5 ounces per 10 pounds of dog body weight can be toxic. Symptoms may not appear until the next 72 hours. Hopefully it wasn’t much and she’s ok.
