Gosh Dawn, Dexter’s episode is pretty similar to what happened with my lovely dog some years ago. He quickly became very ill, into vets, tests done, nothing else except iron levels below life sustaining levels, didn’t improve after drips etc. I went to see vet and dog, advice from her was put to sleep there n then. I said no, if he’s going to die, he’s coming home to the family first and we will call vet in at appropriate time. Got him home, fed him regular small amounts liver and iron containing foods etc and gave him the vets iron tablets and plenty TLC from family. He gradually picked up. The vets regularly called as they couldn’t believe it. We nursed him back to health. Vets couldn’t explain whatever crisis had occurred as he was shortly back to full health. They called him a miracle dog as his blood results on paper were so bad. So I’m very glad for you all that Dexter’s on the mend and you can enjoy him for longer. I remember too the roller coaster of my emotions. So here’s hoping you can all start to enjoy your Christmas. ❤x

Great to hear that Daxter is better! Your nails are darn cute! I was admiring your cowl as you were driving and then you mentioned that you knit it and it was Lindsey’s pattern. Oh, I have that one. I remember knitting one, that I gave away. I will have to knit another! (One of these days) thank you for sharing bits of your life with us.

What a relief that Daxter is on the mend. It’s so lovely to have the weight lifted from you and hopefully you can properly start enjoying the run up to Christmas! But no one here has minded a few days of hearing about Daxter - you are portraying real life and everyone understands when these things happen. I am very excited to be going off in the Campervan for a couple of days early next week!! xx

Dawn, I've been sleeping rubbish for a long time. Could be a 'women of a certain age' thing 😂But I recently started taking a magnesium supplement which makes me sleep like a baby!🙂The colour of your nails is beautiful, such a deep red. Glad to hear Daxter is on the mend and you're all feeling better and more festive! Enjoy the gala! 🥰
