From someone who has dealt with the Apple storage issue a time or 20: - buy more cloud storage, if you are able (as a quick fix) - go into your cloud and see if things also deleted from there, not just your device - restart your device. Sometimes the storage bar doesn’t update with what you’ve deleted. Also check back periodically after deleting a good chunk of stuff to see if it goes down. - for the time being, enable “offload apps” on your device so the apps you don’t use very often will temporarily offload. You can still see them, and they aren’t erased, but take up less space on your device. - transfer big files to a different device, such as a laptop or tablet -purchase a thumb drive and offload your files onto there -look into Google Photos or something similar. I’m unsure of price, but I’m fairly certain it’s a reasonable cost for the amount of storage you get. Hope this helps!

If your laptop/tablet are filling up, group everything you don’t need and in 1 mega folder and create a .zip file. This essentially makes a condensed version of your files so you don’t lose them, and they take up less space. (Imagine those vacuum seal storage bags - same amount of stuff, but waaaaay smaller)

@@Life.of.lori.is your phone set to backup your vids and pics to your iCloud storage. I did that and finally saw my storage amount change on my phone. Mine was deleted gifs and pics I texted over time.

You can connect an SD drive to iPhones I believe 12 and up, that way you add 1-3TB of storage. I’m not super sure but I believe you can even record straight on the SD drive (or even a good class SD card) if it’s an iPhone Pro, hope this helps :)

For the storage problem: used to happen to me and the only way was connecting it to the computer so I could find an otherwise invisible folder with all the deleted files (not the bin in the phone, even if I deleted them in there didn't work). It was named something like trash, it was like a hidden cache? Not sure. Hope it helps.

Can also transfer old vids and pics to a separate folder on the computer. That way you don't have to delete them.

Exactly what I was taught to do in digital production college. I also used to transfer them to an external hard drive for editing on Adobe. Instead of editing videos in I movie … Also delete any phone apps that she does not plan using during December would help ❤️ That gave me back some I phone space personally :)

You probably already know this, but you will positively LOVE the live orchestra. Having it just adds to the magic and excitement of performance. You will most likely find it different from the usual canned music you are accustomed to. During dress (tech) rehearsal, there will be a FULL ORCHESTRA where the conductor has control of the speed and tempo of the music. For your specific portion of the Pas and especially the ‘Coda’ during your Fuettes, you can direct the conductor to increase or hasten the music to the speed you are most use to performing. You will find LIVE orchestras are more “forgiving”, (say if you, for some reason, you are a tad behind the music and miss your queue to enter the stage). Your newest partner is VERY dashing and handsome and already looks as though he is very well rehearsed enough to step right in to be a charming Cavalier. In the short clips you have shown us so far, he looks extremely competent and beautiful! Regarding your tech issues, I would take the advice regarding the CLOUD or THUMB DRIVE in the short term. I would be hesitant to delete too much or ALL original material without first backing it up to another device, thumb drive or cloud. I’m no tech guru, but word of mouth works best on the fly without creating a nightmare situation.

sometimes you have to restart (power off) your phone after deleting lots of videos so the freed storage shows up, and if it’s an iphone don’t forget to go into “recently deleted” to fully delete them off your phone.

There are USB sticks which can be plugged into the phone, you transfer all the videos for now and can use them later directly from the device.

I do not have apple, but dealt with heavy storage issues before, and i could suggest a factory reset? Youd have to make sure you backup everything to your cloud first, but a factory reset should completely reset your phone in every way and allow your storage to clear up significantly and/or clearly allow you to know what bigger items could be taling up storage (voice recordings, photo or video files, etc) Hope this helps❤

Phone Storage - I used to struggle with storage on my phone. I use mine for KZbin videos and It used to fill up quickly. I upgraded to 1 terabyte and it’s much easier now. One of things that I had to do was go through my text messages and delete the random pics that I didn’t need to save. That cleared out a good chunk of memory space.

Check in Settings then General, then Updates to see if there is an update sitting there. The updates take a lot of storage. I think an Apple iPhone update was released recently.

I would check your messages and see if there are any photos you can delete from those messages. This made the biggest difference for me in clearing up the storage space on my iPhone. I should stop sending food pics back and forth with all my friends!LOL

Hi Lori, I don't own an iphone but I'm guessing the settings are fairly similar with android. I suggest you check in the settings the break down of the storage so that you can exactly see what is the thing that's occupying all that space. Like another person said, the problem is that the deleted videos/photos are not being deleted from your device, so you have to try and find where those deleted videos are going (aside from the deleted folder since it seems it's not the only place the media is being stored). Connect the phone to a laptop and browse through the folders to see if you find those deleted videos, then you could either delete them permanently or transfer them to your laptop.

I would help but am next to useless with technology. I saw the video where your lips were moving during turns and really hope you get a tiny cool mist vaporizer and keep it close when dancing too. Some of them are not much bigger than a can of soda and a few inhalation of cold mist feels so wonderful on parched lips and airways. I am wondering what I can look forward to when your vlogmas are over! You are a huge role model in every way.

In iPhone storage, go to review large attachments and delete all that mess, I'm pretty sure you have to do it one at a time. Next I took an old iPad and Bluetoothed every dance video over to the iPad but didn't let them communicate so they didn't sync up. Then I took the dance videos off of my phone clearing half of my storage out with these two steps.

I have to go into EVERY app on my app manager and manually delete cache, also "manage storage" which partially deletes search history on apps you can't delete. I also delete search history on chrome. Then I go into "files" and downloads etc. And manually delete all the backups/deleted files. That's how I got some of my space back.

google photos is amazing! it saves a copy of all photos and videos from your phone automatically as soon as you take it. when you delete it from your phone a copy of every single thing is still on google photos, so you never lose anything. that doesn’t help with the storage issue on the phone itself but it’s a seamless way to keep a copy of everything safe!

Your gallery or file browser app might not clearly show there´s a recycle bin. Mine gets automatically emptied every 30 days, but you can delete it manually. Otherwise the files stay in the trash bin and take up the much needed memory space.

The best and easiest thing you can do is buy iCloud storage. It’s very easy and you have the option to pay monthly. Hope this helps! Also, I’m gonna be very sad once vlogmas is over 😢

If you have an android they have inaccessible “system” files that you can’t even look at to delete, all you can do is back up and factory reset your phone. Never had this issue with iPhones, is actually why I upgraded. It is probably a related issue though.

2:35 i've had that problem before on my samsung. Check your icloud, bc sometimes it can be the issue. Believe me that the moment that i decided to clear my google photos, my phone was running more smoothly and it was notbeing stubborn about the problems with the storage.

As a last resort what I usually do when my tech starts to mess around I transfer everything to a computer, and reset to factory / format. There are so many caches and temp files and don't know what else gets build up. Worst case scenario there may be some malware, probably unlikely but you never know. But the reset should delete everything 😊

In the event you get blood on clothes and wanna get it out asap: 5% saline solution, cold/cool, soak and scrub it out. Alternatively, you can use 3% hydrogen peroxide to remove the blood as it will break down the blood.

You can set up your Google Photos app to store your photos and videos. For claiming storage back, delete all projects from your video editing apps. I’m guessing the video projects you have there are bogging down your overall phone storage.

I found a it helpful to delete email spam, promotions, a trash, if you do it on your computer, you can select all and delete to gain a massive amount of storage everywhere, in Gmail, and on my phone.

I don't really have a fix for the storage issue, but I do have a suggestion to avoid taking up too much space too fast - i think you should get an app that would make it so that once you press the record button, it only records for a specified time . (Or make use of this feature if it already exists in an iPhone - maybe you can adjust the maximum recording time in settings?) So, if you specify the time as 10 minutes it should record 10 minutes from the moment you pressed record, and then stop recording. Since you only need like, a few minutes of footage for KZbin. But of course this is not needed if you need all the footage you record😅 take care!

Re: your phone, I just this weekend (in the middle of a major backgammon tournament I was playing in) had to get another phone because the old one didn’t have enough storage. My old one had the most available at the time I got it 3 yrs ago. This new one has 256 gb. Your best bet is getting another phone the minute you’re able to, unless you can buy/fit more storage in your current phone. Last week when I was doing a video for my mani, the phone cut off twice. Very frustrating!

Are you also clearing your trash in your photo gallery?... if you're just clearing your cache on the app that's not going to work. Also where you going to clear your cache you can clear the storage in there as well but it doesn't matter if you do that I mean it helps but you also must clear the trash in your gallery.. and I had two galleries one for Google and then one for the phone and they were both filled with all the same pictures and videos and stuff and I had no idea

I had to get one of those sticks with storage but I’m Terrified to load things onto there and lose my stuff. I wonder all the time how you guys do it bc I have my fertility journey TikToks I wanted to port to YT and start a channel. Also have the phone w the most storage. I just got it in October DOUBLING the storage I had had!!!! It had taken me 3 years to accumulate the first half so WTF?!?!! About the second half!!! How did it get full so fast?!?! It deleted all my TikTok drafts when I switched phones. I almost died but now only have FIFTEEN drafts instead of 100’s….IT’A ALREADY FULL!!!!???!!

Wait you have an iPhone? Because you can just buy more iCloud storage and pay monthly for it if you do. Other than that, maybe you should consider backing up/or “loading” your videos onto your MacBook so you can keep your phone’s memory open. Create a folder for your footage on your desktop. Then you can load your footage from the day onto your laptop, after you edit and post your vlogs on your phone, and just delete the videos off your phone. Your laptop can keep the old footage safe for you, and you can keep using your phone to film/edit and upload to KZbin/TikTok or whatever. 😊
