Stagehand here: We mop dance floor by dunking a towel in hot water, wringing it out, and wrapping it over a push broom to run it along the floor, then rinse and repeat. It helps to avoid streaks, ensures you’re always using something clean to mop with (you can just throw the towels in the washer, although I wouldn’t use them for anything else) and prevents mops used for other cleaning accidentally being used in the studio.

Well, is anyone else here seriously impressed by how NOT a diva Kathryn is? One day, she's playing the Sugarplum Fairy in The Nutcracker, and the next, she's cleaning the studio floor, because, I guess, she believes that keeping the studio clean is everyone's job.

This was a true Sean and Katie masterpiece. Katie mopping. Sean doing laundry. Katie rehearsing. Sean having a fire alarm. Then the kids proving it is all about them and not Sean and Katie lol. Aaah vlogmas!

It’s clear you & Chris have fostered an atmosphere of happiness, love, inclusiveness, and respect in your studio. So beautiful to see and so happy for you! Loving Vlogmas as always! ❤❤

I loved everything. But there was something that touched me so deeply when you were in Chris’ class. So much love emanates from both of you, not just towards each other and your students, but for humanity. It’s so palpable that you and Chris are at ease with yourselves, with each other, and so sure of the path you have chosen with which to make our ailing world a better place. Thank you both so very much ! Thank you for giving me hope ❤

I loved the sneak peak at your students!! You can always tell the true quality of a teacher/coach not by how many competitions are won or the most perfect technique, but how positive their relationship is to dance (or whatever the sport happens to be!) and your students clearly LOVE you and love ballet.

Can I just say, to all those who think male ballet dancers are wimpy--Sean is carrying a girl on his back out of a building for a fire alarm while maintaining a perfectly upright posture and VLOGGING! Male dancer = dude.

I love the vibe of your studio classes! Your students are so talented and I can tell you all have an amazing relationship. It makes me so happy for the future of ballet, when I was a young dancer I did not have teachers I could be fun around and did not feel loved or supported at all during my time as a ballet student, my traumatic time as a pre-professional made me leave ballet entirely :( thank you for showing how beautiful ballet class can and should be when kindness and respect and support are a key part ❤️

your students talking brought me to tears because it reminded me of my studio days! i’m 16 and getting back into ballet with the hopes of being in a company (one day!) even if that means i’m working on costumes (i love fashion) or dancing. you’ve inspired me in so many ways katie. thank you for giving me my love of ballet back. it’s truly my therapy and life source and i couldn’t have been here without you.

Hi kathyrn, love the vlogs, I especially love when you include you working on stuff in the studio, I thanked it would be super cool if you talked about how guesting gigs work, you've said about changing styles of your solos, but I'd love to know how freelancing is, costumes and hiring and all of that

Sean, at least it was tech and not the show? That happened at out last Year End Performance. Music started for like two eights and then nope. Went outside in flats. Turned out it was a false alarm but THAT was fun
@stephiehellyeah25572 жыл бұрын
Awww! We would NEVER roast the kids dancing! 🥹 Katie, perhaps the music is a touch fast for classical style? I’ve noticed dancers who do it tend to do it a little more slowly. 😉 Ps, I love your vlogmas! 💖

Hi Katie, how do you split the work needed to run the studio between yourself and Christopher and how hard is it to balance with your other job KZbin? Do you block time in your schedule specifically for YT or do you just fit it in when you can find the time? I'm interested in how the business side of the studio works in relation to your performing and YT

Could you remind us again which point shoes you are using? I remember your feet looking gorgeous in the ones you tried with Josephine, but in the stage clips they look different and also sometimes less "perfect" than the ones you're wearing in the studio here...
