VLOGMAS DAY 5 | Bickfords copycat BIG APPLE RECIPE

Ever since I made that syrup I wanted to share this recipe with you guys. This is one of the best foods I ever had with that cinnamon apple flavor. This pancake is light and flavorful holding on to those sweet apples. Coupled with that food hack syrup, it was highly enjoyable. I hope you guys enjoy!

I worked for Bickfords in Nashua NH in 1978!when I was 16, my first job too. The Apple pancake is the best pancake ever

I make something similar but I do the reverse. I take and mix my apples with cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg. Put that in the bottom than pour my pancake batter over and bake.

I cooked at several Bickfords in the 80's and 90's. Probably made a few thousand of these apple pancakes. This looks very close to the real deal. Sadly, there are now only 2 Bickford's left (Woburn and Burlington, MA). Your video brought back some good memories.

Bickfords ... OMG Kiera, I could cry, I forgot all about Bickfords until this video, I loved their Dutch Apple Pancake, YUM. I don't know if I've ever mentioned this but I was born in Connecticut spent 6 years there, moved to California for 11 then back to CT. and spent 33 years there before I moved here to California, oh how your video's bring me to memories of home. HoneyCrisp Apples are my all time favorite, I love a bit of peanut butter on them. My mouth was watering while you cut in to that baby ... yum, yum, yum. Thank you for posting the recipe. Bickfords closed several years ago in Western Massachusetts (where I'm from) and had buy one get one on Tuesday nights (Big apple and baby apple). They are awesome pancakes. We went to the West Springfield location often back in the day. I found a recipe years ago and tried it ( was good but definitely doesn't work without the cast iron skillet. Looking forward to trying this recipe. Would like to try the syrup but couldn't find the recipe. Can you pleas share?

That looked so good. When you said it needed an iron skillet, I was sad because I have a glass top stove but when I saw it goes in the oven I was happy again. Now I just have to steal my skillet back from my son.

Becky Smith I had a glass smooth top stovetop for years and I had no problem using cast iron. Of course that might not apply to yours but it worked fine. Fingers crossed if you give it a go🙏👍

@@50shadesofmom amesbury, its about an hour north of boston. pretty much on the nh boarder. i did look it up. there are lots in mass, just not near me. not much is though! lol maybe one day ill try to check it out

This is not a bickfords big apple they do not come out of the oven flat. I was a cook a bickfords I have made many of them.

I served there for many years. This was the closest recipe that I can find and I linked the recipe I found on Pinterest for inspiration. The texture and flavor was spot on.
