You just cracked me up Leena! I didn't know where you were going with the make-up vlogs, and then...it was all about a color pallette for a shawl!! Fantastic. 😊

That makeup palette will make a beautiful shawl! I love the color play of the brown/copper colors with that pop of blue! I’m fairly certain everyone watching you in your corner of the KZbin world very much enjoys you being you and nobody else. ❤

The colors of your shawl in this blog brightened up my day and just simply brought me joy. Thank you for that. More importantly, it’s so interesting to me that you hesitate to watch other vlogs because you compare yourself to them. The exact reason I enjoy your vlogs so much is your passion for knitting and your ability to completely stay true to yourself and make them so unique and unlike others on KZbin. That is true creativity and I admire your continuing honesty and ability to create your own custom format and content. Keep up the excellent work 👍🤩

What a delight it is to spend some time chatting 'with' you during vlogmas. Your pod brings me so much joy. It's refreshing to share your delight, but also see something that is real on the internet. Much love to you!

I was not going to make the Traveler shawl until I came across Farmers Daughter Fibers interpretation of it and fell hard for the gorgeous red color. Color gets me everytime!

Leena, you're just so lovely. I'm glad you have made up your mind to be uniquely you and not follow the crowd. You are who we love. I'm excited for you about getting organized 👍 I'm in that process right now. Love your color palette and can't wait to see your finished Traveler's Shawl.

Thanks so much for putting your time and effort into these vlogmasses. You are such a delight. I had commented a few months ago when you started making the petite knit sweater for your husband because I had been working on the same sweater for my partner for months (in cascade 220 but almost same shade of brown as you) and hearing you talk about it gave me the motivation to finally get it off my needles (it was a big boy). And now I learn your husband's name is Andrew, which is also my guy's name. Lol. Twinsies 😂 also my 2 cents Ky and Kush (uncertain about spelling, apologies) are the coolest kid names I've heard in a long time. They are very lucky to have you 😊

Yes, I LOVE Andrea Mowrey as a person and think her patterns are amazing but with garments, it’s how they turn out just never work for me. She gives some of the best knitting advice and tips too! As always, love your vlogmas! 🎄

Agreed! She’s an incredible teacher and I’ve learned so much from her podcast. I stopped watching it for some reason but I’d always come away with knowledge!

I like a triangle shawl also but I now want to knit a crescent shawl because I think it will stay on the shoulders without a shawl pin 🧷. Go to your local yarn store and bring your yarn for the shawl and they will help you figure out how you will organize the colors and since you need a blue teal color they will find you one. personally I would feel better I am buying something for all their effort. I have a guilt problem though lol.

Hi there! I just found your podcast/vlog and I really enjoyed it, your presence and energy is great! Hopefully you show us your Traveler shawl as you blend your colors together-I also always feel unsure about color combinations but sometimes get a good hit of inspiration that points me in the right direction. I’m going to make this shawl as well, and I’m only going to use stash, so yeah, it might end up weird but hopefully it’ll work. Glad I found you today!

I’m so glad you did as well! I will DEFINITELY keep you posted on the Traveler Shawl. I’m so keen on sitting down and pulling yarn and build a color progression. Hopefully this weekend! My daughter would love to help 😘

If you love colorful makeup on other people, you would LOVE Angelica Nyqvist! She's Swedish but currently living in Austin, TX (her husband is in a post-doc program). She does color and color only and she's good at palettes.

I think the challenge with Andrea Mowry’s sweater designs for you (and for me), is that she is a very different body type and the fit doesn’t always translate well. But her shawls are lovely and I do have several on my list! I love the colour palette you are looking at for the Traveller’s shawl. Perhaps a grey-based magenta will fill your pink needs and fit with the palette?
@AnotherKnittingPod Жыл бұрын
Hi Joanne! I also think its the fit she prefers. She seems to like very slim fit sleeves, and to me that feels very claustrophobic! But yes, I do like so many of her shawls, but even then I have to make sure they are more triangle for personal preference. Generally I think I prefer Isabell Kraemer. Her style is similar but everything is a little more to my liking.

@@AnotherKnittingPod Agreed…I’ve always had good luck with Isabell Kraemer patterns.

I noticed that many knitting vloggers copy each other. Just be you. I enjoy your pod so much. I watch Knittingflem podcast - 19 yr old in Rome Italy. She questioned herself about content but she is just being herself. It's sweater weather in Amelia Island Fl. Yeah.

I was thinking about a previous vlogmas of yours, talking about the need to support your daughter at growing up in a great person. Please beware: it is MUCH easier for a mother to do that with a son than a daughter. It is my understanding your husband is very busy, but his main role at working towards this goal would be much easier and effective. I like to watch you very much, thank you for your effort. Two questions are popping up while watching your vlogs: what is your exercise and what is your make up routine?
