Maybe the cell is displaying the corresponding number instead of Date. If so, you need to apply Date format to the cell. Right click on the cell > Format Cells... > Date > select the required date format and Click OK

Ofcourse we can use Employee Name in the Drop-down list. Note that first column of second argument, i.e. first column of table array should contain these Employee names. Vlookup function search for the lookup value in the first column of table array.

Of course we can VLOOKUP from a Pivot Table. But whenever somebody use a Slicer or Filter it can affect the structure of the Pivot Table and the formula may become useless. Better Copy Paste the values from the Pivot Table to some other location and apply VLOOKUP.

Sheet 1 ഇൽ ഉള്ളത് sheet 2 ഉണ്ടോ എന്നെ നോക്കുകയാണ്. അപ്പോൾ 2 ഷീറ്റിലും സെയിം name and amount ഉള്ളത് unde. ചിലതെല്ലാം ഒരേ name ആണെങ്കിലും amount diffrent ആണ്. Eg:sheet -1 Customer name amount Vivek 5000 Appu 2000 Sheet-2 Cutomer name amount Vivek 2500 Appu 2000 ഞാൻ name വച്ചു lookup ചെയ്യുകയാണ്. പക്ഷെ name സെയിം ആയതു കൊണ്ട് diffrent amount ഉള്ള customer name ഉം match ആക്കി excel കാണിക്കുന്നു. ഇത് തെറ്റാണല്ലോ. കാരണം എന്റെ sheet 1 ഉള്ള name and amount sheet 2 ഇൽ ഉള്ള name and amount തമ്മിൽ match ആകണ്ടേ. Name same ആണെങ്കിലും amount diffrent ആണ്. പക്ഷെ ഇവിടെ name മാത്രം വച്ചു match ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ട് അങ്ങനെയേ വരുന്നുള്ളു. പിന്നെ വേറൊരു സംശയം ഈ duplication ഉള്ള ഷീറ്റുകൾ തമ്മിൽ എങ്ങനെ match ചെയ്യും

There are 3 types of references in Excel. Relative, Mixed and Absolute. ABS function (absolute function) and Absolute reference are different. There are 3 types of references in Excel. Relative, Mixed and Absolute. In absolute reference Row and Column index of a reference will be locked. Everyone who use Excel formulas, should know this difference to write and use formulas efficiently. VLOOKUP is meant to return a value or values corresponding to the lookup_value or the searched value. If you want to compare the values in two different cells, you should use IF function. I have explained about IF function in the Video called 10 Most used formulas in Excel. Another way to compare data in different cells is using the = operator. For example, the formula =A1=B1 will return TRUE if the values in A1 and B1 are same and FALSE if the values are different.
