VLR Vinyl Remover - To Wash or Not to Wash?

You can use VLR to fix a HTV/Iron On vinyl mistake. But do you need to wash it before you apply more vinyl? Does it stop future vinyl from being properly applied?
I put it to the test. After removing the vinyl from two shirts with VLR, I immediately applied the new vinyl design on one shirt and washed the other. After applying the same design to the newly washed shirt, they were washed and dried repeatedly. See what happens…
I also compare what happens if you put a new design on places of a shirt that had vinyl and VLR, VLR only, and no vinyl or VLR. I was surprised by the results.
In an effort to be as environmentally friendly as I could, I used two shirts that my kids had stained and outgrown. I included them in all the loads of laundry I did. I did not run them on their own.

I've found a spot where I added the vlr after washing before putting the vinyl on.
