I was wanting to do this about a year ago. So I made my own local RTMP server. Wasn't to hard and then installed VLC onto the smart TV. Very low latency. But of cause nothing beats using external output. ✌✌

So for low latency from within vMix, we're still using the WLM option? LiveLan will suit a lot of people, but won't suit sending to people using phones and headsets to log in to Live event commentary, such as in the grandstands at football, cricket, basketball, tennis, motorsports. Might be easier to use Raspberry Pi and Mjpeg Streamer or Raspberry Ninja for those.

Why put LiveLan in a new tab and not side by side with other tabs? So that you can watch live and switch inputs when needed...

What about using CMAF-LL for lower latency instead of HLS? But for example, in our testing we could achieve HLS latency via for example Wowza, of about 3-5 seconds at 1080>720p.

For low latency, HLS in general is probably not the solution, but it is very efficient when sharing to lots of screens with browsers. For low latency, NDI might suit better.

I need a live LAN application that can stream to 20 passengers on a bus. Video capture a tour guide and stream over router attached to PC. Cant rely on any internet connection in remote locations.
