I went out for a Mustang, got a mustang, but not what I was expecting, so went back to the dealer heard of an RS, sooooo unfortunately, no RS in stock sold OUT. Nor will they ever be (SNAP!!) until it came to my eye the last ST on the flor, unsold Race Red and man oh man I do not regret it a bit. No mods yet, but soon looking for the Ford Performance exhausts and can't wait to start building my little bad ass machine. So thank you Ford for allowing us ,enthusiasts, to modify our set of wheels, that other car company's do not. Great vlogs thx.

i love the RS and have always wanted one. a couple years ago i had a focus LX and it was a fun zippy little car, i could throw it into corners like a champ but i always wished i could have an RS, and that bodywork on that VMP RS is the dream version, looks amazing, and the fact it has airbags so you dont really have to worry about taking the front lip off going over speed bumps 100% makes it, not only looks amazing but practical too

I’m 34. I graduated HS in 2002, I dreamed of an STI ever since. I test drove an RS though and loved it. I considered buying it over the STI but the dealership here on Maui wanted $55k PLUS FEES for it. So I bought my 2018 STI for $15k less and I love my car. I really appreciate Ford making the RS. And selling it here in the US. But the head gasket fiasco and Insaine dealer markups turned me away. I’m sure a lot of people had a similar experience. That and everyone buys crossovers and SUVs now. So RIP Focus RS you are missed, and never forgotten🥺
@xkillachrisx5 жыл бұрын
It’s too bad because there are some used examples with low miles and fixed head gaskets in the 30k range especially in my area. I want either this or an STi but I’ll make my choice when they update the STi and if it fails to wow me then Focus Rs used it is!

Austin James Baldovino I’ve been in a rollover wreck and wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. Was told that not wearing the seatbelt is what saved my life because I was ejected from the seat and where I was sitting was crushed flat. From then on I have never worn a seatbelt. I’m also not the only person who has been told that same thing.
@austinjamesbaldovino53285 жыл бұрын
max well honestly it depends on the situation man. You got lucky. Not every accident is like yours. Maybe I shouldn’t assume that wearing a seatbelt will always save a life. But you shouldn’t assume that not wearing a belt will save your life every single time either. For MOST accidents, wearing a belt can prevent you from getting ejected. Getting ejected is what USUALLY gets people killed due to trauma. In your case, getting crushed was the reason that your accident almost killed you. Getting ejected saved your life in this case. You’re willing to bet your life that your next accident would kill you by crushing instead death by ejection? That’s on you man. Like seriously what are the chances that your next accident would be the same as your last?
@max684355 жыл бұрын
Austin James Baldovino well coming from only driving trucks the big concern is a roll over. In a car my big worry would be speed that I couldn’t get stopped or being hit by a larger vehicle. With it being a truck though I don’t worry about going fast all that much and most of the trucks I drive don’t have strong enough roofs to hold up to a roll over. Now if I drove a newer pick up that actually had some power and better roof strength then of course I’d trust their safety systems and wear a seatbelt. Just not in these older ones

You are right. Dealer markups and just the dealer experience in general has ruined some of the greatest cars. I think we are at the point where we should just be able to purchase vehicles straight from the manufacturer, same price for everyone, no markup crap, no dealing with shady salesmen, and the whole "let me go talk to my manager", its all BS. In my opinion has ruined the excitement or purchasing a new vehicle.

What is your opinion on the ride quality and seating position of the RS stock? I listened to matt farahs podcast and he said it was unbearable but with Kw adaptive coilovers it imporived it but it was still bad and who ever his guest was at the time was also hating on the ride ride quality and thought that you sit too high up and that the RS is the most motorsport focused hot hatch around at the moment. Also do you think the quest for the biggest wheels and smallest profile tyre has gone too far and forever ruined ride quality?
