So this is your first time? This is really good. Especially for a first time. Cool bike! I'm also a spraypaint hobbyist learning, like you. Did a few helmets and bike parts. One small tip you probably already figured out if I may: When airbrushing dark colors like the black shadows, reduce a lot and build up in very light coats. It's a lot easier to control and it gives you better atomization. If you use Createx, mix some 4030 into the paint and reduce with 4011. According to Createx, that mix can be saved in a bottle for months. Sorry, don't want to be a smart ass, just sharing what I found works well for me.
@lesagecustoms46684 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mattias, I really appreciate the tips! I did realize that the black was also much thicker than the candy, but now it make sense, and you're right it sounds much better to build up rather than having too much. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

@@PIT72100 no it does not change the sound level, but if you have to do an emission test for pollution, you should not remove it as it may or may not pass the test. You will have to rejet the carb as mention in the website I provided you. Here in Florida there is no emission control. I know in France they do when a vehicle get older it have to pass a test to see if it does not pollute over a certain level 😉

WHAT DID YOU USE FOR THE FINAL? TO RESIST GAS LIFTING IF SPILLED
@lesagecustoms46682 жыл бұрын
Hi, the final coat is a 2k Urethane clear coat. this is the same finish as for car, so it is gas proof. The only location that would need attention is by the filler, where the paint stop, the gas can go underneath and start lifting from there.
