Chuck and Stacy, wonder, twin powers, activate! :-) Love that. There are a lot of gems to unpack here in this demo. As an independent, who is on both sides of the glass, I’ll make a few brief comments. Stacy, love your art direction. I love the dance hands as well. Instructive and effective at how to maneuver, a few words. Absolutely brilliant my dear. Chuck, Has an ear for what sounds good. What sounds good, translates even here in Bermuda. I found myself saying what Chuck was about to say before he said it in this demo. However, I learned, how to say it from a master. Good job Chuck. The talent, absolutely polished, seasoned, and Creatively articulate in the use of his voice. That was a lot. :-) But really good job. I love the vulnerability of your approach. The honesty was refreshing. But your ability as was mentioned in the video to take direction, is worthy of imitation, my friend. I would love to get in front of Chuck and Stacy myself. Who knows? Maybe one day I’ll reach out to them for my next demo or my only professional demo. So to Chuck and Stacy, keep up the good work. Really, really generous and genuine people. so, I have low vision. Incredibly facinating to see the process! Especially seeing the direction is amazing, sometimes i see VOs getting left in the dark having to figure everything out themselves, so its great to see actual helpful directions! Also MAN Donald has a great voice, that bass is amazing to listen to.

Thanks for the kind words. When it comes to the bass in my sound, so much of it is often scooped out in post, with a high-pass filter and notching out the lower mids, usually from about 250Hz ... but scooping a lot! In doing that it certainly does make the sound a lot airier and cut through in whatever mix. Gone are the old days of spots having the analog sound that any of the Ken Nordine recordings would have.

Donald's performance was fantastic, but his voice skills are matched by his humility and willingness to follow direction. Chuck and Stacey are so gifted at that! I am left with an overwhelming urge to watch SWAT , formula 1, Jimmy Kimmel live, surviving paradise, Lopez versus Lopez, and the accused. The announcer is alive and well!

Would you suggest giving potential clients the raw VO, the hybrid demo, or both? My thoughts - both. But I'd love to get your insight about it. Thank you again for everything you share. 👍

Thank you for the awesome comment and thoughts. I’m not sure I understand your question but normally potential clients get the audio demo and the visual demo. So the both become important tools. I will say that visual demos Jane an 80 percent more retention rate than just audio so from a branding perspective it’s a no brainer. Hope I addressed your question 👍
