Sometimes such repairs are necessary due to time or other restrictions placed on the painter. We do test our materials and are confident in their performance and durability.

Absolut correct . I am running a Auto body shop since 28 years , with standox . We always paint clear over the whole rail. Much easier and safe . After a while you will see EVERY blend, no matter what you do. And over all we are way faster and easier , less effort ….

Good job sir but can one apply normal standard thinners to the blending area or it should be strictly fade out thinners

Hi, in general it is better to use a dedicated fade out or blending thinner as they are formulated especially for this purpose, in that they help to rewet the overspray present at the edge of the clear/topcoat and help produce a smooth transition. Using a normal thinner may result in poorer results.

Why would you waste your time doing a blend when you can just paint the whole thing with the clear you are gonna dump in the trash

Thanks for your comment. Ordinarily we'd agree with you but the purpose of the video is to show people how to carry out tyhis process if/when the need arises.
