I’m so glad you did this video. We did wordly wise this year with my 4th grader and she hated it. I bought it again for 5th grade anyway because I wasn’t sure what else to get. This video is super helpful. I might just by something else now.

So glad that this was helpful! Thank you for letting me know that your 4th grader didn't like Wordly Wise. We're in the process of picking a vocabulary workbook for my upcoming 5th grader right now. Hope you have a great day!

We have used Wordly Wise for many years, I always loved that one as a kid, but it's nice to see some other kids of workbooks with a bit of a different style.

When you used Wordly Wise, did you use the companion materials or just the workbook? Thank you for watching!

What a great video! Thanks for sharing. Which ones do you and your kids like the best?

Word Ladders. Of course, it's the "most fun" of the ones I showed. Wordly Wise is good, but my daughter doesn't like the reading comprehensions that are included in it. I think they are great review for the vocabulary words. Thank you for watching!

@@HomeschoolwithJen would you recommend word ladders over 240 words?

Looks useful to grow vocabulary but we use vocabulary words as we learn about stuff. All my kids have a dictionary app that has a word of the day and even tho my ts over there head it’s awesome for teaching them new words. We use the daily fundamentals if I feel my kids need a little more language arts work or maths work so they get it. I’m not sure wat I’m do wen my 2 younger kids start homeschooling tho as the kids I have that are homeschooling at the mo are pre teens and where pulled out of school.

I think it's a great idea to use vocabulary words as you are learning different topics. Great job!

Wow 👏 👏👏. Great review. 👍. I never knew some of these workbooks existed. Very helpful, Jen! Have you ever seen/used Critical Thinking Co. Word Roots book, Caesars English by Michael Clay Thompson or Red Hot Roots? ❤
