This song and video is a masterpiece. Some things I'm going to point out might be obvious, but I just want to acknowledge the greatness of this song. - Technically crisp and clear to the ears. - The lyrics filling the screen is a great idea, however it's not just that alone, but also the other things connected to it: - The picture forming bit by bit as whitened parts of the text. Looks like some decorative texture at first but it gradually becomes a beast. - Rin's face looks kind of evil in context with the song. Also, the way it just casually covers some parts of the lyrics (as if there was nothing weird about it) makes it feel even more uncomfortable. - "It's the same god damn song once again", a reference of Circus-P's earlier songs with the same themes. It's a reminder of the long and painful journey of all those other songs. (The lyrics also describe this thing happening again and again.) - Self-consciousness to the music: "As the synths fade in" --> synths fade in, "It all will begin / After the drop" - But then the song tricks you and doesn't give the drop that you expected. This is so brilliant. - In the end, you get the drop. The song starts becoming more and more intense, the lyrics become harder and harder to read, the harmonies in the melody are raised on new levels. Then the beast comes at you, quickly but only very briefly, until the word "stops" literally stops everything: No lingering reverb or any other effects. Just black screen. Which is big contrast to white, which again is quite interesting color choice for a song this dark. But that all is mostly just about the technical brilliance about this song. It's all to support the meat of the song, which is Circus-P's signature traits of intensely heartfelt pain, hatred and regret, of a magnitude I've not experienced with any other artist. The lyrics have just the right amount of ambiguity for that poetic feeling, but also many crude and direct lines. Many details in both lyrical and technical sides make the song unpredictable and striking, like those unexpected pauses that suddenly give you time to think over what was said. Or that sarcastic "

Sjfhkdfhfkjs vocaloids singing triplets is my weakness. I don't usually like Rin's English but you've managed to make her sound so clear, and if I'm being honest, I prefer electronic-Circus as supposed to pop-Circus. So if you don't mind me, I'm going to scream excessively while listening to this song on repeat for the next four hours. :)

Galaxia-P mmmh, not really, there are soft old circus-p songs... anyway, I've noticed more than two styles in his songs, lol xD he always used the same font for his old songs though! (The one he used for this song) That's something that changed, but in that sense, you're right, his instrumentals were more like strong, and I don't know if this is right or it's just me, but he almost always used the same vsts :0 (or maybe very similar vsts in most of his songs)

I was stabbed in the back by a childhood friend of 20 years about a month ago. After a month of silence, I can't decide if the friendship is worth saving. Part of me wants to mend bridges, but the other part of me still can't get over that they did it so easily. No hesitation, no excuse, they pointed their knife right at me without regret. What do you do when someone you thought was your friend does something horrible to you that you would never, ever do to them?

@nutellacastle6 жыл бұрын
I agree with A Ackerman. You can easily get a much better friend that will treat you the way you deserve to be treated. They may have been your friend in the past, but I guess something changed them. Their past self is now a different person. And if you have to put effort into trying to make them treat you like anything more than a piece of crap, they're not a true friend anymore.

Hey, how've you been?" Singing the formalities I loathe It's been a while since I've seen the mask you don for show With a blade forged in accusatory tones Pushed up, Held up against my throat Oh-/ No-/ Stop, don't pretend like time fixed anything You've been hurting, You've been hoping Maybe closure will soothe the sting Oh, but I've run that choreography before What's done is done, I've already lost the war It's the same song and dance once again I'll succumb to the raging beast from within As the synths fade in It all will begin After the drop I think about you I weep over you And I just can't stop---/ "Hey, maybe I went a little too far" "But hey, I can't stand feeling like I tore you apart" "Hey, Let's be friends again!!" Again, again "I promise I won't hurt you" Hey, I can't take it anymore, anymore I've been hurting, I've been hoping I'd be alone just like before Oh, but you need to do what you think is best for you So kill me thoroughly, stop playing with your food It's the same god damn song once again Repeating BGM behind all my bends As the synths fade in It all will begin After the drop I think about you I weep over you And no matter what I do I just can't stop It's the same song and dance once again (Fear the beast, set it free) I'll succumb to the raging beast from within (Fear the beast, watch it feast) As the synths cry out I'll let out a shout through tear drops I thought about you I wept over you, but now But now it stops

everyone: CIRCUS UPLOADED AOCHALCISBALFHALF me: ...so are we not gonna talk about what the song's saying? ok (i enjoy discussions about a song's meaning ok) on another note this song seems to be about some form of an abusive relationship?
@warpedtour086 жыл бұрын
Evie P Yeah I like talking about the song's meaning too.... I think that it's a girl who was in a relationship that went toxic on both ends and she's the one who made the conflict worse. She seems to feel sorry about it and maybe even feel like this has happened to her before..... Then, she stops it all and gives up trying to resolve the conflict... Idk but that's just my idea I hope it makes sense
@nerf.ashton6 жыл бұрын
+Bucket Chan the line "i think about you, i weep over you" makes it seem like the person shes in a relationship with is the one at fault though,,,
@joppeszus6 жыл бұрын
I always thought she might be having a conversation with her inner beast, sometimes singing about the beast, sometimes as the beast, sometimes to the beast... a part of her that keeps trying to win her over and that makes her do things she doesn't want to, a part of her that hurts her all the time. So... not really a relationship but just Rin?
@nerf.ashton6 жыл бұрын
+joppesezus now that i think about it, that would make sense i think both that theory and the abusive relationship concept could fit with this song because the lyrics _are_ a bit vague.

This kind of like the sequel to Karma, and it sounds like at the end Len is saying "kill the beast" while rin is singing. Theory: Karma came before this song, where Rin and Len are in a relationship of some sort. Rin sees this relationship as abusive, even though it might not be. She ends up losing her mind and getting revenge on Len and killing him by locking him inside a house and setting it on fire (because everything is on fire in Karma). Len dies by burning to death, then comes back as a poltergeist to torment Rin for causing his painful death. This makes Rin even worse, and she reflects on everything that happened, trying to convince herself he's still alive. Eventually she realizes he is dead, she compares herself to a monster (or a beast per se), and Len, still spiteful over his death, continues his whispers to her to "kill the beast". Rin loses her mind and cries over what she did to Len, and just like Len wanted, she kills the beast and kills herself
