The musicians who joined Eilish and Finneas for the performance include bassist Solo Smith, drummer Andrew Marshall, string instrumentalists Molly Rogers, Michelle Shin and Leah Metzler, and vocalists Eloise Lamb, Jane Horner and Rozzi.

FINALLY someone else who refers that ending as "cannon". Everyone I know refuse to call it that, and I don't understand why. I learned that term when I was in grade 1. But yeah, that ending is a total mic drop!

In the full performance there are also sections of Billie and Finneas talking in general about the songs and the performance, and in it she mentions the singers. The one with curly hair was in the choir with Billie when they were kids, the one in the middle is a singer she admires, and the brunette is the girlfriend of one of her best friends. The drummer is someone they’ve performed with all along, he has been pretty much the only other person on stage alongside Billie and Finneas throughout her career. I don’t know much about the bassist but I’m assuming he’s a professional musician same as the drummer. I mean they all are but you know what I mean. I’m glad someone else put their names down because I can’t remember names to save my life.

Very nice review. Billie's voice has matured as she's gotten older, I assume she's put in a lot of work to get to that stage. In the full video Billie gives a lot of credit to the back-up singers.

Zoe, you wondered in a couple of places if that was on purpose or accidental or whatever. Nothing Billie does is accidental. All the breathing, the adlibs, the sighs, the vibratos, the head tilts -- are all carefully planned and executed. From interviews and other videos, we can see Billie curates the whole performance carefully with Finneas. Every song has a certain signature that they construct by comping in the studio to the perfection they'd like to achieve in live performances. Billie of course makes it all look so effortlessly natural.

In my opinion, Billie is a good storyteller, who can bring our feelings into the stories she tells. In this case, when he sings, he includes beautiful notes, murmurs, emphasized words, sighs so that we as listeners can enter into what he is singing in this case his songs

The band and backup artists flow together so beautifully. This session is one of my favorite live performances right now, it may be for a long time. I feel like no words could ever do justice to how this performance makes me feel.

I swear, other than being stunned the first time I saw the original clip, my second thought was, "those vocal coaches are going to lose their minds when they see this." How is no one talking about the high falsetto where the mic is at her stomach, no way it’s picking anything up
@mouthbreether5 ай бұрын
billie (and finneas) is very good at this. it's air compression. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqmYp6KJrLx9jK8 i guarantee if you were in that room without headphones, you'd hear a very different dynamic. i'm only saying this because she and a lot of other live singers get dragged for this. i get it. it looks weird, but microphones pick up a lot of sound and the engineer has ways of filtering out the room sounds. that's why you don't hear the monitors right in front of the mic. that's why they make big money.
