I didn’t realise this at first either but the album starts with a question and ends with an answer. In the first track she says “how do I know if I’m in the right relationship?” And then Nonna answers her in the last song by saying “never go to bed without kissing goodnight… if you don’t feel comfortable doing it, your in the wrong place, get out”

I love how you break down music theory, that could be complicated, and just make it sound easy. This is the album that made me an arianator! I've always wanted to like her, because she has an amazing voice, but never really was sold on the music style choices. But now listening to this, and knowing it all ties back to the film "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" makes it even better. The dreaminess of some songs, as if they were memories about to be revisited.. Chefs kiss ❤

I just received German Symphonic Metal release, Leaves Eyes - Myths Of Fate CD today and sent me on a high. Now I am trying to calm down and follow your Ariana Grande reaction review. I found her obvious strengths is her gentle and smooth voice. I am sure lyrically it is appealing. As a whole it is reasonable release if you want something light, easy listening and nothing intense. Ariana does hold back to keep the release simplistic to appeal to her core fans. For me, "Bye" was a good track, but overall it is a type of CD album I would not personally race out and buy. It is a little musically simplistic for me. I hope the Ariana Grande fans love the album and they are not disappointed. Thanks for the interesting reaction review.
@Poetic_Justice19626 ай бұрын
You're talking down to her fans, which makes no sense. Ariana's album is not "simplistic", neither musically nor lyrically, nor production wise, nor vocally. It is actually very sophisticated on all those counts, and heart felt, artistically speaking.
@nwlondonmetaller34276 ай бұрын
@@Poetic_Justice1962 I am providing feedback to Nina reacting to the album. She asks her viewers for an opinion and that is what I have done. I did quote at the end of my comment, I hope Ariana fans like her album. Sounds like you are confused why I view the album simplistic: The musical element on some songs has a lot of repetition. For example: “The Boy Is Mine”, is very much driven by bass tones. You listen to “Imperfect For You”, it does sound promising, then comes the bass tones. So musically it is not ground breaking at all. Now for the positives, she is pleasant singer and I expect lyrically it will be meaningful. Sadly, the album feels held back, nothing amazing for me. You need to see where I am coming from, where you missed what I said at the beginning, where I had to calm down after to listening to Leaves’ Eyes new album. Now I quote on saying I was on a high, I need to calm down to listen to Ariana Grande. Ok, Symphonic Metal is a different level, it requires a lot of musical talent, with catchy key changes and melody, the vocalist is going to be a trained Mezzo-Soprano, there is orchestral arrangements. What I would have liked Ariana Grande album to have lots of catchy key changes and orchestral arrangements, it may have won me over.
@Poetic_Justice19626 ай бұрын
@@nwlondonmetaller3427 You are also on a comment section of social media, where views are challenged, which I did, and do. Simplicity is an appearance that does not equate to simplistic, as this album is a wonderful, satisfying piece of artistic expression on its own merits. To hear and feel the quality, one has to open to and understand the intention, which goes for all art, whether musical, lyrical or visual.
@nwlondonmetaller34276 ай бұрын
@@Poetic_Justice1962 Yes, I am aware the comment section is part of social media, You and I have the right to express our views. I welcome constructive criticism and differences of opinion. I am happy you like Ariana Grande’s album, it would be disappointing if your idol did not meet your expectations. To say it is wonderful, is not really breaking down the music aspect. An example: The Boy Is Mine. The track begins well, till it hits 7 seconds. Then you are hit with an overpowered bass tone, very little note changes. There is absolutely no musical melody. So, the only aspect is reasonable and there is effort put in, is the vocals. Unfortunately the musical aspect presents very lazy song writing. A lot of instant gratifying sounds. Sorry that is the part which is a let down.
@AGEE_956 ай бұрын
@@nwlondonmetaller3427You’re digging a deeper hole for yourself the more you comment. It’s not hard to understand that you’re being very condescending. Whatever the heck Symphonic Metal is, it’s obviously not Ariana Grande. Those are likely to completely different styles that don’t serve the same musical purpose. And saying it requires musical talent as if Ariana’s music doesn’t, is very obnoxious, close-minded, and ignorant. You should understand why people would push back on such a lazy statement. There’s a lot more going on in the music you might care to acknowledge or hear but that’s your business. Bottom line is, I’m sure that whatever musical preference you were referencing aren’t as groundbreaking as you think. Just about everything has been done and everything is inspired from something. Nothing is completely original. That doesn’t mean it’s not still unique in some way.
