My wife took her niece to see Fall Out Boy on this same tour and said the same thing you did at 11:54 about Hayley being simultaneously tiny and a great, charismatic performer that could fill the stage regardless of her size. Constantly running around, engaging the audience. I firmly believe that Hayley will one day be recognized amongst the greatest rock/pop lead singers of all time. She has always had the “it” factor.

thats a very long ago video and song, closer to when she had her vocal rehab. it was very interesting to listen to your observations and analysis! PLEASE please please react to their newer songs 🙏🙏🙏 from the albums After Laughter and This is Why. her voice has come a long way, and she sounds loads better now. hayley as a vocalist also has solo work, and i think her discovering her individual sound became another therapy for her voice. her low range now and vibratos are wonderful to listen to. First Thing To Go, her song in particular, to me sounds that her voice has deeply matured. and you can hear the confidence in singing now ❤️

I agree! I made my own comment saying I would love to hear an analysis of the same song but from this years tour because she's been amazing the whole tour

Lots of wonderful observations. This will bring hope to those who have suffered with vocal issues. I noticed she is another singer who has a fast vibrato.

You can tell how much Hayley cares about her fans and their performance by how much she adds to her singing. If you listen to the normal track and this performance she adds a lot of detail to the words shes singing.

I would LOVE to see the same analysis for the same song but from this years tour, in comparison.

I'm rehabing my voice rn and I'm totally being a wimp lol. I don't think it's time yet though; I'm redoing my technique.
@DrDanRobinson Жыл бұрын
It's completely normal to feel a bit apprehensive about rehabbing your voice, especially if you're working on revising your technique. Just remember, it's a process, and taking your time to do it right is wise. Focus on breath management and gentle exercises for your vocal folds, and don't hesitate to seek professional guidance if needed. You've got this!

I have already followed some vocal analyses that you have done, and it would be greatly appreciated if you could react to the Brazilian singer Gabriel Henrique. He participated in an audition on the America's Got Talent show this week, receiving the "Golden Buzzer." In Brazil, he is known as the "king of whistle notes." His performance is on the AGT KZbin channel. Thank you.

I’m confused to why you can’t tell what a compressor clipping a mic or her turning her head out of the cardioid field of the mic is . The drop in sound when she tells out the city she’s in … is the compressor buffer filling and it then doing a full clip to not distort rather than reduce input. Compressors are not there to enhance the sound , they are there to help with the dynamic range of the device . It allows the mic to pick up the whisper notes and also still put out the belting notes without exceeding the dynamic range of the amplification system . Also don’t forget , you’re watching a utube clip , something well known for putting artefacts into even polished studio release uploads .

I appreciate your insights on the topic. While it's true that compressors are used to manage the dynamic range of audio, their effect on sound can sometimes be interpreted in different ways depending on the context. For instance, a compressor can be set up to act quite transparently, so its presence isn't as noticeable, or it can be dialed in to make a noticeable impact on the sound quality, intentionally "colouring" the audio. You bring up an excellent point about KZbin as well. Video and audio compression algorithms can indeed introduce artefacts that are not present in the original recording. It can make it challenging to critically assess the audio quality or even to identify specific issues like compressor clipping or the vocalist moving out of the cardioid pick-up pattern. However, it's also worth considering that compressors can sometimes be improperly configured, leading to issues like audible clipping or pumping. Furthermore, live performance setups may have multiple compressors in the signal chain (e.g., one on the mic, another on the mixing board, and so on), which can interact in complex ways that could affect the sound. So while I agree that compressors are primarily for managing dynamic range and not necessarily for enhancing sound, the way they are used and configured can significantly influence the audio that the audience ultimately hears. Would you agree?
@vvega007 Жыл бұрын
@@DrDanRobinson I would agree in studio compressors are definatly used to a different effect than live , I would say Paramore seem to run the same crew and that probably why there live performances and more so Her voice seem to be a very polished and curated sound across many different events . Thanks for the reply , and thanks for taking the time to evaluate my thoughts , as a person that’s done some time in a studio I just wanted to put out there that a singer that has that kinda dynamic range really starts to show up the flaws in our recoding gear technologies and as you put it the skill of the live sound engineer . I agree that that makes what you are trying to do very hard indeed . Cheers

wasnt she really sick during this specific performance? on another song of this performance you can hear it a little (on Let the Flames Begin/Part II)
@DrDanRobinson Жыл бұрын
She may well have been sick...if so, it's even more impressive!
@himynameisash8 Жыл бұрын
It was this specific performance, it was the Austin show of that tour where she was sickest and then had to cancel two dates after (all of those were in August) but this performance was in July and iirc she did say she had felt sick for several shows but just kept pushing on, so this could've been the start of it. I honestly think you can hear it in most videos from various dates of the tour this performance is from tbh.
