You mentioned how EXO have really great vowels compared to some of the other groups you’ve reviewed and that’s because SM Entertainment is the only Kpop company that consistently teaches their artists proper and healthy vocal techniques. Generally, if you see them straying away from their technique, it’s a completely stylistic decision, they know exactly what they’re doing. EXO themselves are also obsessed with their own vocal training; Chen has said if he weren’t in EXO he would be a vocal coach, and Baekhyun is always talking about how he attends vocal lessons ~4 times a week, despite already being an incredibly accomplished singer, 8 years into his career.

Finally!! Thank you. Ok, you're correct that the 1st person (Chanyeol-main rapper/who sang creep) forgot what he's about to say, he's always like that. Prolonging a sound, then they decided to play along. The one who's in charge in the low notes is in 4:26 i think (D.O. - main vocal/rnb prince of kpop) He is also in charge of most of the adlibs and runs of Exo, he is praised for his agility. The one you've pointed that maybe incharge in the low notes ( Baekhyun -main vocal) is actually incharge in mid or high notes. Exo are the Vocal Kings of 3rd Gen Kpop. They are a powerhouse. Can you please react to their Acoustic Medley in Japan? It really showcase their vocals and techniques. Please please.. you'll hear them clearly, the colour and texture of thuer vocal as well as how harmonization is a piece of cake to them.. THANK YOU AND LOOKING FORWARD FOR ANOTHER EXO CONTENT.

All EXO main vocals do low notes. Kyungsoo isn't really in charge of them....Chen and Baek have lower note parts all the time as well. And also do a lot of runs and ad-libs as well...in most EXO songs really.

5:20 you’re partially correct about how the language doesn’t always lend itself to opening their mouth for certain vowels. This is because the Korean language has 21 vowels with 10 unique ending sounds (to the best of my knowledge). What sounds like “ah” here is actually “eo” or “uh” which is a more closed vowel but changing it to ah would change the word. I feel like in English we can get away with changing some of the way we pronounce words and it can retain its meaning but in Korean, it happens, but less so.

Also there's a cultural difference regarding what sounds good and pleasant. In many cultures the way US artists sing isn't something they do in their culture. It's not that kpop groups don't have the skill to do it, they just have another cultural style of singing, with focus on emotion and sensitive nuances. To me it's charming and more pleasant to listen to, but it's just a matter of taste. ^^

(KYUNGSOO) -January 12, 1993 KAI - January 14, 1994 SEHUN - April 12, 1994 *EX-members:* Kris Wu, Luhan and Tao Zi (Chinese members who left the group because of the company bad treatment towards them, all 3 of them have successful careers in China/America) EXO are really one of the best vocal groups in Kpop( the specialists in the industry said so not just the fans ). I like the way you broke it down, but would appreciate if you could do so for all the members. All of them are good to unbelievable singers except for Sehun who really enjoys rapping and is not as confident in his voice as the others. Sehun is a extremely talented dancer and very good rapper. Although I think Chanyeol is the best rapper in the group(and the worst dancer in the group...he has come a long way since the beginning). Kai also does a good job rapping too, has a decent singing voice and is one of the best dancers in kpop.

I have been watching other reaction vocal coach towards EXO.. They say Exo have a vocal like a trumpet if i not mistaken.. As example Flat A Or Flat B.. They said Exo sing very well than the other group in kpop industries.. and you know,i believe it because i like kpop since 8 years old.. From back then until now, i have seen many group and i know when they are lip sync in live performance.. You will never met a group like EXO again who can sing live performances without lip sync and very smooth.. #IMEXOL

Yeah your guess was correct .they're tired .you know sometimes they are so tired that some fell down during the concert and some even can't breathe properly so they used (i don't know its called but) that oxygen mask. But they stilll perform their best.😃😃😃

I’ve only been following EXO for just a few months, (just in time for them to split and go their own ways ☹️ but love them. Have you reacted to Dimash? The only performers ( and reactors) I watch are EXO and Dimash. Dimash is a master of technique, stage presence, range, tones, scoops, fry, glissando, staccato, vibration. There is Nothing he cannot do. If you do, start with SOS. I like the Chinese The Singer version, 2017, but all of his are amazing and differ from each other. Also, when his fans (Dears) find you, you will be bombarded by comments and subscriptions. I don’t want to give away anything, but: he is now 26, from Kazakhstan, has perfect pitch, amazing breath control, six octaves, multiple genres, has been studying voice since he was five years old. Everyone 100% says he is the best singer in the world. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE cover DIMASH!

At 10:29 they didn’t have an in ear to hear there voice more clearly over the fans so I think that’s why it was a little more flat as in the second clip they were in a studio without fans
