Actually he trained to be a vocalist! He has a amazing voice, he is used to sing and he loves it too, he’s really passionate about performing and music, he was just shy in party people (name of the show the clip was of) because the atmosphere was really intimate as he was talking about how blessed he actually felt to have so many people loving them and showing their support. So he sang “hug me” a song that expressed his deep feelings to thank us for always being beside him/them; that’s the reason why he looked a little sheepish

The clip of 9:46 he is Chanyeol, a lot of people are saying in the comments that the impression you got of him not being used to sing is because he’s the main rapper, when that’s not actually true! Chanyeol trained as a vocalist for 4 years before debuting in Exo, it was a last minute decision of the company to give him the position of main rapper. He is used to sing and has a beautiful voice, not only that but he’s really passionate about performing and loves music♥️ He was just shy in the clip because before singing he was talking about how blessed he felt for being able to debut in Exo, and how lucky he is for having so many fans that love and support him/them so he decided to dedicate to us his fans ‘Hug me’ a song whose lyrics expressed his deep feelings towards us that’s why he looked a little sheepish while singing it. EXO is known as vocal kings of kpop coz they really do have an amazing vocals that even their rapper can sing so well. They were trained singing while on a treadmill so they can have vocal stability even while doing hard dance choreo and this is a known fact for all SM Ent. artists and this is why SM Ent. is a house of vocal artists. Not only the vocal techniques were taught but also they also do breathing exercises and techniques so as not to hear their breathing through their mics.

EXO is trained very well within their vocals they work really hard even still after years and such a great reputation for having amazing vocals within the industry they still go to vocal coaches outside of just the group stuff the really want to show their best performance every time they sing which Is impressive in my opinion especially when u considering they are constantly dancing as well as singing during their live shows/performances even if at times they do slow down or stop the dance during their personal singing parts

The deep voice guy is Chanyeol. The reason he seemed kind of uncomfortable or not used to singing in that register is because he doesn't sing normally. He is mostly a Rapper but he really likes to sing so noticeably recently, he has been showing his vocals😊

Subscribed. Part 2 please. They do stop from dancing for challenging solo parts. But sometimes they continue dancing if the can. Chanyeol the rapper with the low beautiful voice usually does the harmonies in their songs so yes, he was just shy and is use to singing. He is also a composer and a producer.. looking forward to part 2.

Watch them live... I would suggest their EXORDIUM concert in Japan, the venue sold out in less than 0.2 seconds. Choose the intro "Mama-Monster-Wolf" performance you will be floored at the energy, stamina and steady vocals under strenuous choreo... they make it possible... after all they are EXO.

The first one was baekhyun F#2 - C#6 (3 octaves, 3 notes and 1 semitone) Supported Range C#3 - G#4/A4 Voice Type Tenor, the second one is chanyeol a rapper/singer who has a lower register and does not really sing full on and usually rap sings. He does like to sing like in this variety show and is taking lessons to further strengthen his voice.

They really sing live. They are trained for it. Chen. one of main vocals, said in an interview last year that there was a time he got worried for his throat. As main vocals he has to hit high notes but impossible to do that due to their dancing but he said their training made them execute it well. When his part is about to come (same with other vocals) he has to stop dancing and get ready to belt out those notes but to do that he also has to control his breathing so it wont be heard coz the mic is on.
