A bit late but the reason for Aimer's husky voice is because she went through silence therapy after losing her voice due to vocal cord overuse. She's probably the only one in the industry with this kind of unique voice.

Lilas Ikuta has such a bright voice it's impossible to not smile when you hear her, Aimer is one of my all time favourite singers and her tone is one of a kind and feels magical but I just can't get enough of Milet in this one, this growl kind of like tone of hers stands out so much, I'm completely in love with it.

Aimer is problably my favorite japanese female singer, but I fall in love at first listen when I discover last year "inside you" of milet. And she sang in the olympcs closing ceremony. Another amazing singer that I love is Chanmina

Yup, Milet's colorful subtle shades of guttural singing (dare say growling) is beyond words or cultures and just precious. Like finding that magical shell on the beach that only you find special in that moment of discovery.

i love how real you are with recognizing every single detail in a singers voice, unlike alot of other reaction videos that point out nothing but obvious things and look like they have no knowledge of what they're reacting to but doing it just to get views. I really like when you also show examples with your own voice imitating their phrases to show specifically the techniques your talking about really great stuff, your students must really get their value from picking you up as a coach

Aimer is the best, but milet's voice is so unique and it's fun to hear her tones. My favorite one is milet's fly high from the first take and it's the song that made me fall for her voice! I'd love to see you react to that and explain more of her techniques! (p.s.: milet's drown is also great but no first take video.)

i will definitely look more into them separately cause these voices were so complex and technically interesting. But this collab was incredibly, I really command the vocal arrangement too, since it kept everyones voice authentic :)

​@@Katriinka Definitely right! Their voices' characteristics stood out even while singing together and they didn't get drowned out. Trio singers with different tones that are even more amazing is Kalafina, astounding live performances. Dunno what to recommend (because too many awesome ones) but a slow one with emphasis on their voices would probably their [Kalafina - Snow Falling Live] performance. You should check it if you're interested. Their voices are just...*chef's kiss* gosh, I'm gushing too much now.

The moment I saw this song and Sony commercial for which it was produced I was crying from happiness. Aimer is by far my favourite singer on this globe and seeing this TFT with those girls I knew it will be more from Aimer. She's a such a great, kind and hardworking person. All three of them are just so special! Lilas has one of the most clean and beautiful voices, Milets voice is pure fun to listen to and Aimer... well, she's just so talented and unique! Also love how they underline the theme/message of the song by the choice of words :3 ('Boku' instead of 'watashi' which is mostly "reserved" for younger boys but can be used by women too if they are like really "chill / cool". At least as far as my understanding goes about japanese :D) Loved the reaction!

Regarding their names, it's a coincidence that all their names require French pronunciation, i.e., Aimer - no 'r' sound, milet - no 't' sound, and Lilas - no 's' sound. Additionally, for their Japanese name pronunciation, since there is no 'l' consonant in the Japanese language, all 'l' are converted to 'r'.

Have you ever reacted to kalafina? They where (they recently disbanded) an INSANELY technical japanese pop trio. I would recommend Magica or Heavenly Blue if you wanted a first look. Aimer at the age of 15, underwent a sudden voice loss accident due to overusing her throat from singing. "In her interview with BARKS (Japanese) about her 1st album, "Sleepless Nights", especially on the song "夜行列車～nothing to lose～" (Yakou Ressha-, Night Train-) Aimer: Ah... the voice loss was a real experience. Because I was grown up in a family that constantly playing songs, being a kid who likes singing before reaching the age of discretion, and when I realized, I thought I wanted to be a singer. I was always singing alone, though. At the age of 15, when I woke up in the morning, I suddenly lost my voice. After that, when visiting vocal cords specialist in a department of otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat), they said "in any case, please don't speak" and recommending a silent treatment, since then I didn't speak for 6 months at all..." To dig deeper about milet voice, i highly recommend you to watch her legendary performance on the first take, these are inside you and fly high. Her hoarse yet shooting voice shock me for the first time bcs it came from a tiny cute girl. P.S mirei (in Japanese) or milei (in english) is the correct way to pronounce milet 😁 thank you for this interesting reaction anyway.

Hello! Personally, I'm a great fan of Aimer's vocal style as well. I would recommend you to give a listen to her song collaboration with TK called "Us" (preferring the live version). We get to see a lot of new styles and higher notes, besides her usual huskiness there. The control is even greater with the higher vocal range, and the song in itself, seems of the spontaneous sort.
