Please react to their performance at a Victoria secrets show. His voice was so incredibly stable throughout the entire thing. Taylor Swift joined them for half of one their songs, and what’s cool is that he completely outshined her
@LPSLivingLife6 жыл бұрын
Exactly. You would think her being Taylor Swift people would go nuts over that, but Patrick’s vocals and stage presence was so amazing that her contribution to the performance wasn’t that big of a deal (lmao I kinda sound smart yay)
@KatTheNightfox5 жыл бұрын
No offense, especially to Patrick (who is beyond amazing and my favorite vocalist alive) but it's not hard to outshine Taylor Swift in a live performance. It's a good thing she didn't actually sing all that much because she's usually pretty awful live. She needs all the help a studio can give.

@mythgirl1234567896 жыл бұрын
I love how even a vocal couch says these songs are hard to sing and yet I've gone balls to the wall. Patrick was and still is a vocalist I strive to be. I've been into them for almost 10 years and I've sung their albums front to back countless times. My vocal range stretched lower just from mimicking Patrick. Granted, I sing in my own comfortable range now and try to dabble with my own style, but covering FOB songs is still a goal and when any of their songs play, you bet I still give it 110% and nearly strain my vocals lmao.

The first performance was before Patrick had any real vocal training. The second is after he'd been training with a coach. Also, he'd been exercising & taking better care of his body at that time. Basically, if there's a trucker hat and/or sideburns, he wasn't well trained at that time.

Also a side note as a super fan of Fall Out Boy, a lot of the times what they will do during performances is lower the key of their performance so it doesn’t strain him as much. Like that version of centuries was down a little bit from the original, and when I first noticed it I was salty at them before I realized how difficult a lot of their songs are. He’s still one of my all time favorites, though. I absolutely adore Patrick.

IT WAS NOT CHURCH. The song I was thinking of, wherein I felt his voice was raspy in a spot where he previously would not have had trouble, was Last of the Real Ones. On the lyrics “I'm done with having dreams, the thing that I believe You drain the fear from me”. What do you think?

really liked this video! bias aside, patrick is in my opinion one of hte best singers like.... ever five years ago is pretty recent in terms of fall out boy timeline but i would love to see you react to vocals from tourdust/2ourdust... although tourdust was my first time seeing fob i am noticing some development (the low notes he does in uma thurman are WONDERFUL and i was kinda surprised to see he didn't do that in the clip here) but headfirst slide is a staple now still with it's insane range, and yet patrick STILL manages to pull it off perfectly, and throughout tourdust twenty six fob songs have finally made their live debuts which leaves a lot more songs to react to, not to mention the new ones (heaven iowa also has a wild high range and is very vocally isolated but sounds BEAUTIFUL live, patrick's runs at the end of so much for stardust absolutely take me out like okay SOMEONE has a soul voice. and then of course the Grudge Growl™) and, of course, patrick getting an entire section to himself. i think it'd be very interesting to listen to lol. love patrick's voice veryvery much

Feels a bit of a cashout to just watch the "best live vocals" where the clips are already handpicked to be good. Yeah he sings good in clips meant to show him when he sings good. Would love for someone to actually analyse like a show instead of just highlights. There's a reason these videos always feature acoustic performances where the key has been lowered at least half a step.
