He did later on he got a lot of coaching once he got famous. You can compare that to pre-army Elvis and after. His voice quality was different and superior. Do not forget in the army you are not going to to get time to do concerts and sing all the time. For the above show and his other shows he got voice coaching as well.

@Mulberry20002 күн бұрын
@@mikeivey7167 Wrong pure talent means he couuld sing with out working for it. He could not sing at all, he had to do a lot of practise and had massive encouragement from his family. There is no such thing as pure telent. As he become established he did have singing lessons, that is apprent later on etc. Compare the early Elvis to post army days. His singing had improved massively despite being in the arrmy. That means he has a lot of coaching.

It was a combination of things that he had, a brilliant voice, he could turn any song into something special, his looks, his charisma on stage, a great sense of humour, and boy, could he dance. He was the whole package, and there is no one that can match him today or that has been able to match him over the years, and never will, you could say, he was divinely gifted by the Lord in his music career.

He is timeless. True art has no time limit. You can critizise a lot of his career choices (movies, songs, etc), but the CORE of Elvis, will always be his phenomenal voice. It is impossible to explain, the way he was (and is to this day), able to project, to «sell a song», just grab you. There are many great singers, composers, technically gifted artists and musicians, but Elvis always had that extra magic. Most people couldn’t care less who wrote a song, or wrote the screenplay for a movie. It is the way things are presented, communicated, that matters. His charisma was simply insane, commanding the stage like a general leading his troops. When Elvis appeared live in concert, it was so much more than just a concert. It was an event, something that people would carry with them for the rest of their lives. What made him so endearing, was that, remove all the glitz and glamour of the supernova on stage, was a real person. He was humble to the core, all the way till the end. He never thought of himself as bigger or better than anyone, always being approachable to fans. People who met him, said that he made them feel special, not just putting up a fasade, a front, but being genuine. Of course he had his flaws, like everyone has. But in my mind, he was «well intended», trying his best, even when he didn’t always succeed. After his death, a reporter really hit the nail on it’s head; «as long as there are creatures walking this earth, with eyes and ears, Elvis will live on». Couldn’t have said it better myself. If you want to see/hear an emotional song, highlighting his incredible voice, check out «Hurt», from Rapid City in 1977 (from «Elvis in concert»). Had Luciano Pavarotti been in that audience, he would have given Elvis a ten minute standing ovation. Keep on doing Elvis reactions, much appreciated.

🇬🇧 I'm an Elvis fan since 5 years old. I grew up with his voice, his vocal style and music adapts for the style of the song he creates, and he gave the World Something new, some of which was adapted from Black Soul and Christian Church Gospel and he put it into the Modern Arena Worldwide, for everyone, in an Elvis Style that was so Magnetic Attractive and he enhanced this with his Natural Wonderful Persona, handsome looks, and outstanding new age stage and film performances. I think hearing his amazing voice in a very successful long list of HiT songs only added to the attraction of his Unique Gifted and Addictive Voice, and also in Elvis himself. How many kids in every country wanted to imitate his genius. He brought Faith and Happiness and Joy to many. There's an Element of being The Master in his Voice. Like everyone he has limitations in his voice, but what he has can make Time stop and Listen to the Heart of a Legend as his Emotional and Beautiful Tone voice and Wonderful Musical Areangements Lifts you into his Musical Dream. It was like being in a Fairytale Wonderland at that time. Gracelands. For me, (tears) he's Unforgettable. Dearly miss him.

In the absolute most simplest of terms, there's Elvis Presley, then there's everybody else. As country music legend George Jones once spoke in his song "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes" He said the world is full of singers, but only a few are chosen. Before anyone did anything, Elvis did everything. He's undoubtedly the most brilliantly, remarkably talented, gifted, mesmerizing, captivatingly enchanting, spellbindingly magical entertainer to have ever graced the world stage. A bona-fide master showman in every sense of the word, who'll never, ever, ever, be equalled nor rivaled by anyone in any genre. He was a once in a lifetime phenomenon, and the echoes of the legacy he left behind, will never cease reverberating, because the sun never sets on a legend.

His genius for interpretation elevates him and his performance to high art. This is Mozart, Picasso, Shakespeare…instinctive, intuitive, parameter setting genius.

And Trying To Get To You from the 68 Special ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYuZZYdsnKqXeZY ). Completely different kind of singing, but still impressive (of course, it's Elvis, haha).

Trying to get to You, from the 1977 CBS Special, is an incredible version of the song AND, touching, how he says that it's one of his Dads favorite songs, and how his voice was so much higher in 1955, it's so good, that when they released the Silver Box Set in 1980, it was the version that they chose for TV Specials!!!!!!!

Thank you for your reaction! Elvis can make you FEEL the music it touches ones heart and soul no matter what he sings. He captivates the audience through his unique ability to share the depth of his genuine passion and authentic love of music. He connected with people, on stage, recordings, movies etc. The focus was his singing and the music filling the air (with band and backup singers) and everyone was on that journey of feeling the songs emotionally, no matter what kind of song it was. Elvis's singing could create goosebumps, tears, joy, sadness, screaming, laughter, speechlessness, overwhelming happiness, inspire people to belive in themselves, a feeling of hope and that we are not alone (I feel this through his gospel songs). For me that magic of his music continues to deeply touch my emotions everytime I listen to it because it is timeless. Touching hearts and souls does not have a time stamp. May we all continue to let music fill our lives!!

Hi from England What was it about ELVIS? Well for me he had "EVERYTHING" and you all know what i mean and OH he had the VOICE It was PURE, UNADULTERATED, RAW PASSION AND EMOTION. He was so PITCH PERFECT. and even the last concert 26th June i1977 in INDIANAPOLIS singing UNCHAINED MELODY his voice NEVER LET HIM DOWN and only 6/7 weeks before he died. As ELVIS said in many interviews he would vocalise every day. ELVIS was a night owl but i am guessing that ELVIS would vocalise for hours and hours on end. We know he recorded around 700 songs and performed during his career around 1600 + shows. In the 50's he would sometimes do 3 shows a day and in the 70's there is an interview where he said 4 shows. No way could any human keep that up for much longer. I belong to a local community choir and love singing -its good for your physical health - the diaphragm and your mental health. i love singing some of Elvis' songs, the ones i know more of the words to and some of Tom Jones and Dusty Springfield Music artists from the last 30 years leaves me cold "OH AND THAT HORRIBLE AUTOTUNE"

He did it all. The more you watch you will see the subtle cues he gives them. I am biased . No one will ever compare and I love music of all kinds, but Elvis is a once in a lifetime gift to all of us. Not only incomparable talent, but the biggest heart and soul you can imagine. No dancers, no fireworks, no special lighting effects, just the man center stage and you see what is the soul of a man. You just saw it.TCB

Thank you Nina your knowledge has broadened my limited knowledge of music and given me a new appreciation of music and especially Elvis! There is one song that I, with my basic knowledge of music have always felt his voice struggles with, that is The First Noel, I would LOVE hear your opinion on him singing this song. Love your work Veritas Matrix

For me it is his authenticity. I am biased as have been raised on his music along with many other artists from that era. The relative ease with which he switches from those low noted to the semi-operatic tenor range and the warm timbre in his voice. 1 last thing, his voice changed so much from his 20s to his 40s. I'm not being mean but someone like Tom Jones, he always had that voice and even in his younger years his voice had the same quality that it does now. Elvis through the decades is like a different person - something for everyone x

Correct, next to elvis's dverse voice, tom is a one trick pony. Not taking anything away from tom, but elvis's recordings are LIGHT YEARS above Tom's. 1960's. "It's now or never" ALONE , is something that tom couldn't touch. But I digress........ Tom lived decades longer than elvis, YET still couldn't reach elvis's massive body of critically acclaimed recordings. THAT ALONE speaks volumes about the HUGE difference between the two.

Bridge Over Troubled Water from 1970 (has to be that version, it is the best) is one you should react to. I'm a big Elvis fan, but I only really like American Trilogy from this Aloha Concert from 1973. Elvis isn't moving with the same ease as a couple of years earlier, and they put so much makeup on the poor man. But except for the big notes it feels like he's not giving it his all. I track his physical decline from '73 until his death in' 77. Tom Jones said that the great started to not like being Elvis Presley anymore, and for me it's from this point onwards. That concert from '77 breaks my heart to see him so unwell and near the end. I was 13 when he died, it felt strange when I was 42 because it was the age he died, he went far too soon. I still miss him.
