Jin actually did The Astronaut, his solo gift to ARMY. I can’t imagine why you were told not to do Jk &Usher, except for the fact that jk gave Usher half the song to himself to shine, not only in singing, but in dance, as well. It is an excellent remix, and you would really be missing something special if you did not watch it. Jk has so much content out on his solo work, your head would swim trying to catch it all. But every single performance is exceptional. In fact,to me, the Fallon Show was at the bottom of the list. That tells you how phenomenal his work has been. I am really, really, REALLY anxious to see how you respond to him doing Hate You. It is the epitome of emotion in voice. But then, so is Suga’s Amygdala. Just different emotions. Lol. I am so excited to see your upcoming reactions to this new time in BTS. Thank you for doing this so quickly!

Whoever said dont listen to the version with Usher, has problems. Jungkook is a grown ass man, who has always said he would like to work with Usher, so if he was excited about it, who are we to challenge that? Usher is 45/46 and an R&B legend in his own right. Some of my fellow ARMYs are narrowminded and confused about WHO Usher is, but they should learn to put some RESPECT on his name.

The Usher remix is terrific but not for Sam's show since there wasn't a live performance. I looked up Usher and his career is the same age as the members of BTS...
@mp8938 ай бұрын
I agree @kizzy the Usher remix is awesome and yes he’s a legend. I also agree with a @diane since Sam likes live performances and there isn’t one with Usher it makes sense to react to on of JK’s amazing live performances. Also Diane, it’s nice that you looked up Usher, but you said same length of career as BTS and that isn’t correct at all. Usher’s been doing this for nearly thirty yrs. His debut album came out in *1994* He’s still makes and performs so his career is a lot longer. BTS have been ten years into their amazing careers and once they’ve completed their service obligations to their nation, they’ll be back and hopefully will have a long successful run like Usher
@kizzygreen64778 ай бұрын
@mp893 Thanks for clarifying the issue for me, I really couldn't understand why they would discourage him from listening. Knowing that his vocal critique focuses on live performances, it all then makes sense. Yes, Usher has been performing since he was a child, and like JK, started officially training at 13. BTS is amazing, and I'm ARMY, but I'm also a firm believer in acknowledging those who paved the way, inspired others, and contributed culturally. Thanks for the correction, I should have taken a step back before typing, but I was a little upset, lol. Borahae 💜

I don’t think anyone was trying to disrespect Usher. As already mentioned, it wasn’t a live performance, and there is less of JK’s vocals on that version, including missing the iconic “sun and moon” part, which is essential to hear if you haven’t heard the song before. To truly appreciate the song, and JK’s performance of it, I think it’s best to listen to the original first and then hear the remix.

There are many more amazing performances from JK, but also the others have done a lot. Each of them with their own flair and style, which I find really cool to have all that variety. Definitely second the "V - tiny desk" performance, it is amazing (and a wonderful band with him)! And from Jimin, I'd suggest a live performance of "set me free pt 2", he did a couple of music shows with that one, and it's something you probably wouldn't quite expect from him. From Jin we have one single, his "goodbye" song "the astronaut", just not a full album yet. He performed it once, in Argentina during one of Coldplay's Music of the Spheres concerts. If you want to check that out, there are videos that include Chris' introduction (for example on the Enjoy BTS More channel), which I'd recommend including as well, as it shows the relationship between the bands, and how the song came about.

RM also did a Tiny Desk concert, as well as renting out an art museum (Dia Beacon) to record a few live performances of his new songs. I really think the best performances to react to would be fro his Rolling Hall concert though. It's a small venue (200 lucky army got tickets by lottery.) Wild Flower is his title track, performed with the lovely Youjeen of the band Cherry Filter. A couple other songs from that set that I thought really stood out are All Day and Closer. This video has timestamps, so it'll be easy to find them. You should also check out j-hope at Lollapalooza! The whole performance can be found on bangtantv's channel. His set starts around 2:40, with a short intro track from the album leading into the performance of his title track, More. Equal Sign, a fan favorite, starts around 22:40. He did so well, being the first member to strike out and do solo work. And Yoongi! SUGA actually did a whole tour for his solo album, it was incredible. However, I'm actually going to request that you react to his live performance of SDL at Agust D: D-Day Movie Night. This one also has a timestamp. He's worked so hard on his singing, and it's better quality than most of the videos you're likely to find of the concert (as far as I know, there hasn't been an official release on YT of any footage.)

This was a great reaction, Sam. For Jin you can watch Astronaut. He did it live with coldplay in Argentina and it's GOLD. If you watch the speech Chris Martin did before the performance it will be much more memorable. For J-HOPE there is his Lolapalooza performances and MAMA performance that includes Arson and More which both are great. For Suga, i recommend a live version of Life Goes On he did in his cocerct, D-DAY, in which he SINGS. And of course any other rap song of his you react to, we'll appreciate. For V, as you already said there is the tiny desk. But the band Session is also great, he played Saxophone at end which was a great surprise. Oh, and there is Le Jazz de V, he did a cover of two songs, one with another singer. For RM, the live version of Wild Flower he did in in Seoul with Yujin (which was featured in the song). He also did the tiny desk, that includes some of his older songs as well. For Jimin, the live of the song Letters just melts your soul. He also did an amazing performance with Like Crazy on Jimmy Fallon. And lastly, For JK, Time Square. No more words needed.

OMG. 🤣 There were some things I wanted to say mildly critiquing... but forgot it all when you so casually said "so I once was the choreographer of BTS in my mind" and I smiled and laughed internally as I sipped my tea... then you went on so causally and explained how he moved his legs like a fan and his hands moved so fast you couldn't really see and you felt like he could have possibly robbed you 7 times without you knowing anything was missing with hands that fast." I about spit out my tea. He has better live performances but this was fun. They are mostly doing solo things because they were all going into military at different times so it was a good time for them to all try out the opportunity. The rapline have all released 2-3 solo albums (or mixtapes) while doing BTS through the years, so I suspect that is more of what they will do when they get out. Go back to focusing on BTS but doing solo work within that as they much as they want. I am a little lost on how well you know these guys. On one hand I see you only have three BTS videos, but on the other sometimes you talk like you know them well. So not sure what I've missed. If you know them well, then you will probably have done the song below. If not, I would want you to watch Taylor's Guide to BTS pretty soon. It is well done and ARMY will watch!! It is 47 minutes, but we will sit through it. Please don't edit any of it out. She edited so that no songs have to be edited out and she did it to show her fellow colleagues about BTS but ARMY latched on because it is awesome. It stops just before they began their current solo work. She is waiting for all to finish their releases but she said she will work to put one together for this "Chapter Two" of their journey. So... kind of torn between recommending this to you because I don't want to hear it chopped up every line, but I also think you'll love it. So here goes... I can always listen to for the millionth time on my own. LOL. The vocal line singing Truth Untold Live. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2rckoNqrL-Sqqssi=nMmBI9d2I3FbXKsP This is a live stage mix... because you really can't get subs to anything live that you can hear well. You will see by the views this is a fan fave! Most of this stage mix is their 2019 performance in Japan at the Fukuoka Dome. Which is really amazing!! You can watch just that performance but you lose the subs, which are something you'll want to watch too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5jTl62AotOAY9ksi=3pOUPm-FhhKk9mz9 Including it so you can see it is them singing this live. Maybe watch the mix to analyze and watch the words with all the pausing and then the non-subbed live one for more flow and less pausing? IDK. Do you. Truly. Just telling you we like this one and will want to hear it flow a little. :) Liking what you do, and I can understand the feeling or need to pause and analyze each line... that is going to be a helpful habit for you as you delve into their songs with Korean lyrics that require more pausing to keep up. LOL. Anyway, whatever you do, hope you enjoy the journey. And yes, they almost always have backup tracks playing because they do go so hard live, but they don't lip sync. They almost never miss a beat but when they do, they just stop singing or laugh about it. They are also often way better live than the studio track and put more ad libs in, etc. Which is why we prefer live performances to mvs anyway. They are very fun and entertaining to watch. Also, my last recommendation, is that if you are ever listening to songs but they don't have live or mv... and you have to use a lyric video... which are almost always wrong because people push them out so fast as soon as songs drop and then they never go back to fix them... I highly recommend using Dial6137 rather than those faulty color coded lyric vids. Okay. I am done.

Jungkook Live at Audacy…just watch it. It’s a complete eargasim! Really show cases his extraordinary vocal range. BTW I know you’re a really great vocal coach, but are you noticing that he does his own backing harmonies and ab libs? He does almost all the harmonies and backing vocals on the group songs. He is just a phenomenal performer. He was literally born for the stage.

"I once was the choreographer of BTS in my mind," is probably one of my favorite things anyone has ever said 😂

Suga's Snooze is beautiful but if you want to really hear his Rap style you have to watch the Daechwita MV. The flow changes are crazy and the video production is amazing. BTW... Suga Raps faster than most as evident in his song AgustD. He spits faster than RM too.

You hafta watch the MV for this song. It really should win awards. Also I loved his performance of this on iheart radio when he dances it by himself. Really seems like Michael Jackson there! ❤

I love your reactions and JK is such a strong vocalist. His goal was to become a huge pop star and he did just that. I miss seeing them as a group; how they interact and feed off of each other, but I enjoy seeing them succeed individually as well.

Jin released Astronaut before his enlistment and performed it with Coldplay in Argentina. Highly recommended!
