@@kronosaraya to be fair, in most videos you'll find of this song being performed live, the layered vocals make it harder to hear the growls she makes...or even to distinguish that she's making them, so it's not immediately what is heard unless everyone had told someone BEFORE that Floor was growling in this. I've seen quite a few other reactions where they just go completely unnoticed. In any case, she did at least take notice so she was paying more attention than a lot of others I've seen. In this particular reaction I'd say that the one close up visual of Floor was the confirmation that she needed.

Glad you enjoyed this one and saw another side to Floor's talents. It's always fun watching when the reactor realises that Marko is doing the clean(ish) vocals and Floor is the one supplying the growls. This song is definitely heavier than many you have reacted to from the band but shows the vast range Floor can manage. Tuomas wrote this one after Floor joined - it must be great for him to know now he can write what he likes as his singer apparently has no limits to range or style, something that must have affected how he wrote for Tarja and Anette (who are both also awesome singers, please let's not start the pointless debate again!) It's also interesting that even in a heavier song like this Tuomas manages to take you on a musical journey of emotions and styles. There is a moment in one of the live shows where the camera cuts to an audience member holding up a sign saying something like "Thank you Tuomas for the gift of emotions." I think that is a very true statement.

I've only just come across you today, and I love that you review bands like this, that don't get nearly enough credit for their musical talent and/or singing capabilities. I'm sure others have probably said this too, but I was at that Wembley show, about two or three rows from the front, and let me tell you that what you said about the entire showmanship... it's just incredible. The feeling and the oomph from both the music and from her vocals was just indescribable. I got goosebumps then and I still get goosebumps now, listening to this song - especially during the middle instrumental part where you liken her to a siren. That was one of the most intense musical experiences I've ever had. I saw you've reviewed Kamelot before too. I recommend you revisit them and give their more recent work a listen, because Tommy Karevik is a fantastic successor to Roy Khan. (I recommend Kevlar Skin or Burns to Embrace ;) )

Know how you can recognize a certain band by certain musical details (notwithstanding the obvious that is iconic vocals, I am thinking, e. g., Brian May's very specific solos on any song by QUEEN; the same can be said for guitar "wah" solos by BLIND GUARDIAN's Andre Olbrich)?
