They delayed the show for an hour as he was throwing up and doing his best to not let people down , this was the final performance of a two hour set . Unreal

Don't worry, he does take care of his throat after concerts. These guys are pros. Taka was actually sick during this performance so his voice is a bit raspier than normal, but I think it adds that much more emotion to an already emotional song. You can compare this to the 18 Fes version and hear the difference in his voice.

This song saved me from depression and from suicidal. This band has a special place on my heart as their song is just so powerful. You should react to their orchestra too. One Ok Rock live concerts are on a different level. They're just amazing on their own. All of them are so talented. I am just so happy that you got to know them 😢 I am literally crying 😭😭

@@moecruzgodcruz2375 The way you connect to the lyrics emotionally helps you feel like you're not going through it alone. Just knowing that there are others that feel the same way can help in so many ways. Also it helps you really deal with what you're feeling. A lot of people with depression don't really know how to deal with them because they don't even know how to explain what they're feeling. This is coming from my battle with treatment resistant depression, anhedonia, and severe insomnia it helped me with suicidal ideations.

Taka has been singing for almost 20 years with One ok rock, they actually had heavier songs before using that raspy voice, if he has not lost his voice he will not do it now, he is an amazing singer and I am sure he must have a warmed down routine since he was young. His parents are singers so I am sure he learned a lot of things about singing since he was a kid...

To see Taka not only add some grit but also scream like Chester Bennington then you should really check out "One by One" live at Saitama super arena 35xxxv tour. The band was actually formed back in 2006, so they've been together for nearly 20 years. Fun fact is that Taka ran away from home in high school after a huge blow out with his parents and his mom disowned him.

2004 actually, they named it on 2005, but yes, they made heavier music before.

As people have mentioned, Taka the lead singer is sick for this performance. But also of note is that this is the last song, not of the concert, but the encore! They sang - I believe - 3 to 4 songs AFTER the main concert was done, and this was the last one. And he STILL sounds this good.

Taka is one of my favourite vocalists. Love his voice so much and I still get shocked with the fact that he was sick singing this live, like he's got to have a superpower! this song always makes me tear up so baddddd it's so beautiful and gives me goosebumps! i was so lucky to see them live last year in a 2000 person venue... their concert was freaking AMAZING!!! but seeing them in a huge venue like this must be so magical too!

Taka sometimes does acupuncture for his front of the neck too, he was sick in this one but he still sounded perfect, plus you can check out the same song but on 18+ concert, it gives me chills whenever i play that!

NHK televised their version of "We Are " during the 18Fes (18 year old kids festival) in 2017 or 2018. The studio invited 1000 18 year old children to sing along with the band! It is an amazing performance!

Don't worry my guy, Taka (vocalist) is a professional and they have been in the scene since 2005 and i've been their fan since 2007. The reason he sounds raspy and airy at the end of his note is because he is extremely sick during this concert. But he still delivered a hell of a show.

You should try another Japanese band, called X Japan. They are the most famous and influential rock band ever from Japan. The singer has a really unique voice. I'd recommend their ballad Forever Love live, or their flagship song Kurenai.
