I`m glad you saw this amazing video, but you should also hear him live. This band is an amazing live band. Please do react/ analyse Angel from their Alexander Theater Sessions with nothing but a piano and his voice, or this song from their Moscow concert 2013. They have so many awesome songs more, like Lift, Daze and Requiem From My Harlequin from their latest album.

I always go back to listening to this band. I especially love the Theater sessions they did. His voice puts me in a mood that is hard to verbalize, but it’s something akin to peaceful thoughtfulness. If you feel like listening to more, then I’ll be here to watch!

The carnival is the life/soul of the protagonist, who is singing for his love, who is either leaving, or has already left him, and he is left empty, dry and thirsty. You really should watch some of their other videos. Their lyricism really is poetry; they deserve their name. Personally, I love "Daze", and what I consider its follow up almost a decade later, "Requiem for the Harlequin".

Oh my, Poets is one of my favorite bands. Marko's voice is just....amazing, not that he has a exceptional vocal range but he uses it to great effect. You can really hear what he puts into the performance. Lift and Sweet Escape are my two favorites, but I'm sure you'll fall in love with this band, plus your vocal analysis is superb.

I absolutely adore Poets of the Fall. I found them and this particular song in 2016 while waiting for my mom to get back from a surgery, which was removing breast cancer she had. Thankfully she fully recovered and is healthy now. Since then we attended three PotF concerts together, I traveled to other countries (Finland included) as well to hear them live. What is more, my mom is a midwife. Her patients love her, as she always puts some nice music in the background. Many Polish newborns heard Poets' songs as the first one in their life! Our other fav is Lord of the Lost, another great band that deserves more recognition, especially in their pre-Eurovision era.

For really showcasing Marko's ability to sing, I recommend "Angel" from Alexander Theater sessions. It's just him and a grand piano in acoustically marvelous empty theater. And it's glorious. Also a tear-jerker.

Incredible song that has stood the test of time & is increasingly relevant today. The Carnival is the toxic parts of the world, hence the face mask, the coins she has to spend - the limited amount of time we have here, so spend it wisely. Try to ignore the temptations of greed & material things, watch out for two faced insincere people, take care of one another. Love is everything. Every scene of this video has deep meaning & Marko is a genius creative & lyricist, a beautiful soul & voice

I second the request for "My Dark Disquiet" as I think it is an outstanding song. You could also check out their alter ego, the fictional band "Old Gods of Asgard" with their songs "The Poet and the Muse" (similar style to Carnival) and "Take Control" (more aggressive Hard Rock/Metal)

Like Alice you are going to have to go through the rabbit hole as they have so many tunes that are worthy of your appraisal. Daze has been mentioned, his falsetto on that is very impressive. One of my favourites, it doesn't really have a video per-se but Skin is a fine example of his vocal talents. Even if you don't review it on here, give it a listen as it is a beautiful song.

They have songs that range from acoustic through to metal. They have a good range of music. Especially if you also include their work as the fictional band Old Gods of Asgard. A fictional 70s era metal band akin to Black Sabbath. A band made for a video game. They have songs that sound very similar to that 70s metal sound, and more modern metal as the bands comeback tour. All of them are great. And the songs all play directly into the story line of the games. As per the lore of the game world, artists like musicians can change reality with their art. The games are horror as well.. The games are how I found the band, as I learned who did the performances.
@finnishculturalchannel4 ай бұрын
The founding members of the band actually met when they were making game music for the Finnish game company Remedy Entertainment. The song 'Late Goodnight', which they made for the game Max Payne 2, launched their career. Mark Wahlberg starred in the movie, which was based on the Max Payne character. They have kept making music for Remedy's games-also appearing in them as a fictional band called Old Gods of Asgard-and are well-known figures in the gaming community: "Old Gods of Asgard - Herald of Darkness (Alan Wake 2 | Official Music Video)". Relating to your thoughts on the lyrics and the video: "The BEST VR Headset IN THE WORLD Has Me Questioning REALITY".
