"Where's this guy been?!" Well, he was in the military for 2 years, got married and became a dad 😌 and now he's back! His name is TAEYANG and he's a member of one of the most successful Kpop groups of all time, BIGBANG, who debuted in 2006 and still killing it to this day whenever they release new stuff (him and his group are so much more than that but it'll take me forever to list all the significant things about them here 😅 so I'll just leave it at that). Taeyang is an OG.... legend of 2nd generation kpop, member of the one and only BigBang. Taeyang is the lead vocal of BigBang. They are called "Kings of Kpop"!. Each and every member is unique and extremely talented. They belong to the same company as Blackpink and are their seniors. Once you search for them, it's a rabbit hole! Many think that BTS became so huge because BigBang went into hiatus due to their mandatory military service (not taking anything away from the immense amount of hardwork and talent BTS has and put through to reach the position they are at). But BigBang is the OG and one of the very first Kpop groups to have gained international recognition! (winning MTV EMA for best foreign/Asian act 2011 0r 2012). Listen to their earlier songs such as "Haru Haru", Lies and their 2nd last album "M. A. D. E", all songs are dope!

Justin, just letting you know that TAEYANG was supposed to be only a rapper and trained to be a rapper first. Then a singing coach noticed that he could sing and that’s the beginning of his story started to become a singer instead of a rapper. TAEYANG has MJ, rnb, and hip hop influences in his music. Oh believe me they are doing their best ..this is the third time, first was when the company didn't release his song till late so he didn't get all the streams, and they seized his apartment because an insider stole his mail, not once but 3x and put all his public info on the internet, 2nd they didn't want his song on the album because of I out of the 10 writers had a court case pending and now they don't like Big Bang so Taeyang and his collaboration they won't support. It's an ongoing thing with poor jimin but he just keeps rising despite it all. I'm so happy he just ignores social media altogether and that his dream came true to collaborate with his idol Taeyang who all of BtS loves and respects, even jhope invited them to his jack in box party.

That’s Taeyang an OG of the 2nd generation of Idols, whose group, Big Bang, was the only other Idol group to have a lot of success outside of Europe and Asia (although if we’re being honest, BTS is the most successful of all Idol groups. He is Jimin’s Idol - the one he looked up to and actually mimicked from before his Idol debut. This is a historical collaboration - they are the ‘bookends’ of legends in the Idol world…2 kings from different generations!!!

He is known as one of the most successful and well-loved male soloists in Korea (not just Kpop!). Try out 'Eyes, nose, lips' first and then 'Darling', 'Wake Me Up', and 'Love you to Death'. I would ask you to listen to BigBang as a whole, because they have a great set of singers - songs such as 'Loser', 'If You', 'Blue', or 'Last Dance' are a great start.

(Forgive the pun) but I'm loving 'the vibe' of this song, it has a R&B type of ibe going and i love just the beat has this calming and relaxing effect on me and I'm loving all the oranges, red and blues in the MV aswell. Also it sounds so classy yet sexy and sensual at the same time, it made me speechless and just blew my mind. Also the choreo is so explosive and what I mean by this is you can see all the different emotions they are going thru while singing. Also the beat makes me wanna get up and dance along to it. You're not alone...am so glad BTS has been able to introduce us to other very good artists... read about him after this drop his actually a generation before BTS was in a K-pop group that was big in his time, I think, Big Bang. Went to the military served out and changed labels to a sister label. Sorry, dont remember the name, but look him up if interested. as a solo artist. He has a wife and a baby. I am in the same boat as you are in. I knew of Big Bang but never heard of their songs apart from bang bang. I am pleasantly surprised how good Taeyang’s voice is. I will definitely need to check out more of his songs now. Such a beautiful voice. And I too got Michael Jackson vibe with this song when I first heard the song. Last not not least, my heart is full with Jimin’s achievements. He must be in cloud nine getting to collaborate with one of his idols. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
