He’s really a versatile performer and has a great stage presence. When he sings he’s telling you a story and let you in to his world. At least that’s how viewers and listeners felt every time he performed. I love his unique voice, the raspy tone when it’s needed and his use of riffs and runs to add sprinkles to his soft butter voice. I just love his natural vibrato and when he belts, it’s not irritating to the ears though he said he doesn’t have a falsetto and don’t know how to develop it. I think he needs to learn from a vocal coach to have that ability if he wants to pursue as an added skill. Thank you so much for reacting to his performance. Hope he watch your reaction since does leave comments too. You’re one of the few vocal coaches and teachers I’ve been waiting for to react to Sofronio’s journey in The Voice. He sang 7 songs in the competition plus 2 duets one with another contender and then with Michael Buble. Looking forward to more reactions on Sofronio’s The voice performances. ❤️

Sofronio Vasquez's audition, "I'm Going Down", is a four-chair turn, and coaches are fighting for him. His "Crying" rendition is one of the best (by Roy Orbison). It is actually the number one choice among many people for his performances.

He graduated a dentist he set aside the board exam to join a singing competition he became a finalist and didnt win. For 2yrs now as a dental asst. in US and studying dentistry again so he could practice The Voice auditon came out and he tried and passed on his 2nd submission, I think, and the rest is history.

His journey to success started in blind audition. This song means a lot to him made him more emotional in the end because of his story. That feel of the song was enhanced that way. The whole journey is worth a watch.
