6:42 that is an Indian percussion instrument called DHOLAK ......... unlike tabla.....it is kept horizontally while playing...... the method of playing is quite similar like Tabla.....

As a Bengali myself, we are quite familiar with "Dhol" which seems to be a bit different from "Dholak". But honestly, they are very similar.
