I googled Abida and found out she is a "singer, composer, musician, painter, and entrepreneur. She is one of the highest paid singers in Pakistan. In an interview in 2013 about her Islamic culture and her life she said, 'My culture - our culture - is rich in spirituality and love. . . . I'm not a man or a woman, I'm a vehicle for passion.' " She also said, 'Sufism is not a switch, the music isn't a show - its all of life, it is religion...' I love her rich voice and that she is so passionate about her musical life.

This was a beautiful song! I especially loved the guitar and rubab together, and the vocalists were tremendous. Such an uplifting song! For me personally, it is so inspirational to hear praise songs in other languages. ❤ They create a loving connection to people you may never meet.

I got one right! LOL I was always told that a rabab was used in Led Zeppelin's Kashmir song, but I've also heard that it was just a guitar made to sound like one. I'll never know for sure, but that's how I first heard about that instrument.

Groom charakra is originally sung by Abida Parvez in the 80s. That’s what you need to hear. That, and “yaar ko hum nay ja baja dekha”, the ost from shehr e zaat (Pakistani tv serial)
