When she was about to release "Hello" after being on a long hiatus, the very first advertisement for it came on the ad break in the middle of the X factor in the UK, and instantly everyone knew it was Adele straight away with one word and social media in the UK blew up with excitement for another Adele track on the way. Adele releases a few songs, hangs about for a while, then takes some time away... And then repeats. Instantly recognisable whenever we hear her though. The same was true for Amy Winehouse (rip).

What’s worst, if you have to sing the middle part of a song instead of the beginning. It can wrack havoc on you remembering the lyrics and be on key. You can after sometime, but it takes a lot of practice for the speaking part and the song part naturally become one.

@@roughrosa yes! one time i had to do a show where there was a song where i didn't get any accompaniment at the beginning, so i had to guess the pitch. i have very close to perfect pitch tho so i got it every time (thank god)

What amazes me is that for the last song she comes in most of the way through the song, in the lower part, with no lead in. Then she pumps out the hook in perfect pitch. It's astounding. I think the only singer I've ever heard do that was Streisand.

I mean, I know you've said we shouldn't comment but honestly, back then, trying to imitate her technique was enough to leave me with a throat-ache! She was impossible to follow through, and I PRAISE her stamina for being able to perform and give her all even though she was definitely not always singing from a healthy place. HOWEVER, she performs so differently now! Still hitting the notes, still with characteristics from past performances, but you can hear how much more control she has. I often felt like she was winging it before, it always kinda left me at the edge of my seat because you could almost physically feel the strain. I didn't feel that this time around. Her voice is so much more powerful now. AGH I don't know jack ok these are all just comments from an impression she left from before.
