Goodbye has a version with acapella/MR removed. just her voice. and she also released 2 new OST's recently. MAMAMOO is very used to harmonisation, and they are really good at blending and singing to suit the person they are singing with. So I think she is able to sing this way with Ailee because it blends soooo well together! You can hear how all of MMM's collabs sound different because of the way they smooth their vocals to blend together with the person they are collabing with. :)

You pointed out the same part of wheein which immediately caught my ear and became my favourite too. 💗 By that I don't mean that the other parts don't sound great too. It's just that I also had the feeling that it was special or different than usual. I like how she gently glides through the notes until that high one that is so clear and pure and has that familiar healing effect after you hear it. Like a wind sweeping over a hill and exhaling in freedom at the top. Maybe a bit figurative ^^ but I think it really has its own beauty.

In Immortal Songs 2. The Host and Contestants said that MAMAMOO is like a group of 4 Ailees. For me, Ailee is combination of Solar and Wheein's. Her belt is powerful like Solar but also have the breathiness and Control. The only difference between Solar and Ailee's belt is Solar's belt is very sharp and open resonance while Ailee's belt is like Wheein's belt but more powerful.

definitely joining the others suggesting both "anymore" and the "short hair" duets music festival performance from wheein... "short hair" was from 2015, where she partnered with an unknown rapper (sort of the theme of the festival) and she really shocked quite a few people, esp with how it was less than a year after her group's debut. if you know who heechul is, he was one of the celebrity judges on the show and instantly fell in love with her voice, decided on the spot that he needed to collab with her... which created the song "narcissus", heechul's first ever collab with a female singer also, their ceo ravi (of the boy group vixx) was the composer of the song, i wouldn't doubt he at least took part in the arranging, too. still can't believe the fact this label has only two artists but they're some of the top vocalists in south korea... what kind of luck is that?. (ravi runs another agency, too, but it's hiphop focused. i definitely can't wait for collabs between artists of both labels, though)

Whee in did extend her contract with RBW so she could stay with Mamamoo, but RBW allowed her to have a contract with another company just for her solo work. Mamamoos contract last another 3 years (maybe) then they will have other decisions to make, if they extend again I imagine Whee in doing the same. The only thing I am basing this off is how close the members are. Extending as soloists maybe a thing.

Sorry to say, but you're wrong. She didn't renew the contract and left rbw. She has a simpler contract now with rbw for two more comebacks and the promotion with mamamoo, till end of 2023. The difference to your statement is, that rbw doesn't have an exclusive right anymore. so rbw is not in the position of allowing here anything. BTW: Hwasa's contract will end in june 2023 and Moonstar and Solar in june 2024. A few weeks ago RBW revealed the contract expiration dates of all groups members: MAMAMOO, Oh My Girl, ONEUS ....
